"As I look to the future, I feel very confident that we can continue to compete for a Super Bowl championship. Yes, we haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2010, but it is very hard to win games in the NFL, let alone to win Super Bowls. We have given ourselves a chance in each of the past seven years. We have great leadership and stability with Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy. We continue to have a solid core of players, led by arguably the best quarterback in the league, Aaron Rodgers. As an organization, we are sound financially, and can provide the team with all the resources it needs to be successful. So, while the ending to the season was disappointing, and we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal, the season was not a failure, and we have much to build on for the future."

So glad The Packers have a strong stable organization who have produced a winner 90% of the time during their tenure.

I've been wanting to hear from the other "MM". Sadly, he's as culpable as the two below him. I couldn't have read a much more depressing bit of commentary. It's little wonder we don't win and won't with his attitude. He fits right in with the good is good enough mentality and it's so hard just to win games so we should be happy we aren't a Cleveland that has trickled down to most of the fanbase.

Anyone saying it's hard to win games much less championships has already given themselves and excuse for something less than a championship.

A giant LOL on the we "can" provide resources. Yes, you "can" but you "don't". Just keep shopping at Big Lots and Dollar Store adding our UDFA's and hoping and praying guys who weren't good enough the year before magically get better. Let's not go out and find viable difference makers. After all, there is a CHANCE the guys we've got MIGHT turn into one. The Packers are for people who love fantasies.

Contrast Mark Murphy with Mike Tomlin after the Steelers bowed out in same round as Packers and his team had multiple injuries (No Antonio Brown, no LeVeon Bell, Ben playing hurt, etc):

“I’m disappointed,” Tomlin said. “That’s just an honest answer. I think we all are. We appreciate the support that we get from others, the acknowledgment of the fight and all of that. But, we go into the journey with that understanding, that it’s going to be difficult (to win a championship), that’s it’s going to be a fight, that a fight is going to be required. We set out to be world champion. That was our goal. We meant it. It’s not us this year, so there’s disappointment.”

So, in Pittsburgh they see their season as a failure as they were short of what they set out to do...not just make the playoffs but be standing at the end. On the other side, we are proud of our team and it's okay...we had a chance and that's all that matters? We had a chance? Murphy spoke to CHANCES. LOL. The same tired CHANCES we had with Favre but rarely cashed in on. History is truly repeating itself. An org with two HOF QB's is going to end up with 2 rings while Brady wears 4. Celebrate good times, c'mon.

We have to just live with mamby pamby management. Well, at least most are happy and content with that so they can continue catering to that majority. That's something. Good truly is the enemy of great.

When will the eyes open to the fact that the very management they celebrate that gives us "chances" is the very management holding us back from actually winning? The "chances" we always seem to have oddly always end in failure. How about a management team whose "chances" actually lead to some Lombardi trophies?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

That game was there for the taking, but he put this team into a shell, as usual.

Arizona was terrible that game. Carson Palmer had never won a playoff game. He played tight as could be as did their entire team. We just didn't have the horses. That game was there for the taking because Arizona was a farce. The Vikings should've beaten them in the regular season there in the closing weeks. Turnover Teddy showed up and Arizona escaped them. This was truly a down down year in the NFL. Seattle wasn't themselves...SF fell off the table without Harbaugh. NYG collapsed. Dallas lost Romo. We had it set up perfectly to romp to an NFC Title. We lost Jordy and apparently everything else on O with him. It's maddening to not capitalize on this chance in a weak NFC this year and then add that to last year. This franchise is developing an aura of failure. The way you change that is with CHANGES. I don't think Jerry Fontenot and Sam Gash quite qualify.

dfosterf (44m) : Hasn"t Bosa missed more games than he has played in the last 3 years?
Mucky Tundra (5h) : He hasn't been too bad when healthy but I don't feel like I ever heard much about when he is
Zero2Cool (6h) : Felt like he was more interested in his body, than football. He flashed more than I expected
Zero2Cool (6h) : When he was coming out, I thought he'd be flash in pan.
Mucky Tundra (7h) : Joey seems so forgettable compared to his brother for some reason
Zero2Cool (7h) : NFL informed teams today that the 2025 salary cap will be roughly $277.5M-$281.5M
Zero2Cool (11h) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : They got 118 slapped in there.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : lol good question, kind of impressed!
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : So how is a guest posting?
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Tell them its an emergency
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Working. Meetings.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Lots of fun; the spam goes back 4 or 5 pages by this point

Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I thought Guests couldnt post?

Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : check the main forum, seems a spam bot is running amok
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : What?
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Is the Packers online game "Packers Predict" now available for 2024? I can't tell
Zero2Cool (17-Feb) : Bengals planning to Franchise Tag Tamaurice Higgins
Zero2Cool (14-Feb) : Packers are hiring Luke Getsy as senior offensive assistant.
Martha Careful (12-Feb) : I would love to have them both, esp. Crosby, but either might be too expensive.
Zero2Cool (12-Feb) : Keisean Nixon is trying to get Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams lol
Mucky Tundra (11-Feb) : Yeah where did it go?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : or did you resctrict access to that topic?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : why did you remove the Playoff topic?
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Tua’s old DC won a Super Bowl Year 1 with Tua’s former backup
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : *winning MVP
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Funny observation I've heard: Carson Wentz was on the sideline for both Eagles Super Bowl wins w/guys supposed to be his back up winning
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : NFL thought it would get more attention week preceding Super Bowl.
