One of the biggest complaints about McCarthy is that he takes his foot off the gas and goes conservative. He doesn't go for the jugular with the kill shot. However, when Arians does it its bush league. Kind of hypocritical don't you think.

Kinda like a Seahawks fan whining that the Patriots got lucky in the SB.

Maybe you aren't one of those whining about McCarthy and if that's the case I'm sorry but if you are not you are one of the very few who don't.

Tough match up for our Pack but I think they make it a game. The media will point to the last match up without stating the facts that Green Bay was without their #1 corner, ended up losing Raji early and were playing with a patched up offensive line. This is not to make excuses for the Packers who sputtered into the playoffs with their diminished offense after the bye week but it certainly does make a difference.

The bye week could be a blessing or curse. Let's hope it has some negative impact on the Cardinals who may be looking past the Packers because of the previous match up. Arians had mentioned that the ball bounced their way quite a bit the last match up and that is true. The Packers played sloppy football and the game got out of hand quickly.

I expect a different Packers team to show up this week. If Shields comes back healthy, he comes back with some pretty fresh legs. The rookies now have some great experience under their belts and are fresh off a win against a Redskins offense that was being considered red hot.

The defense keeps the Packers in the game.
The offense will have to play a great game and maybe get some luck once or twice.
Special teams will need to make 1-2 exceptional plays (long return, turnover).

Packers win

I'm confident the D will do their part again on Saturday. I say again because they played well in the post season in '13 against the 49'rs, again last year against Dallas and Seattle, and last week vs. Washington.

Capers has had his defense ready for the playoffs. All they (and we) have heard is how good Arizona's defense is and rightfully so but I don't think this D gets enough credit. It's kind of aggravating when all I heard last week was Cousin's this and Cousin's that and the D pretty much shuts them down the last three quarters but little said about that. I mean Cousin's was supposed to tear the Packers a new one! Remember?

If Capers has these guys as ready as he has proven he can in these playoff games I see no reason they can't go toe to toe with the Cardinals. It's just like last week only the names have changed. Now it's Palmer and now it's Fitzgerald and nine sacks the last time they played.

It makes my head hurt.

The warm temps until recently and Saturday night game time helps. The GB players have not acclimated to winter yet. The high in AZ is supposed to be around 65; but at 6:30 the temp should be 6-8 degrees cooler and dropping to low 50’s by end of game. So Mike McCarthy has got the guys practicing in mid 50 temps in the Hutson center; the temp difference won’t be a factor.

The Cardinals are a lot better then the Redskins. But that doesn't mean we can't win tomorrow. I think a huge thing will be, making sure we don't fall far behind early. I think that would spell doom for us.
Lacy and Starks need to have big games too, to take the pressure off our QB.

I'm hoping for a win, and for Seattle to beat Carolina. That would put the NFC title game in Green Bay!

"People are comparing the two teams this week. Don't listen to them. The 2015 Packers are a different animal. If the Packers are going to make a Super Bowl run, they'll need to be opportunistic, hoarding every point, turnover or anything otherwise representing an opportunity. The 2010 Packers were wolves in the brush. The 2015 Packers will need to be hyenas."

Thought this was a good read.  I don't mind the comparisons but I see them everywhere I look when something about the Pack is posted. I thought the comparison in the above quote was perfect. The Packers are going to have to be scavengers in the 2015 playoffs. They must have everything bounce their way and have all three aspects of the game firing on all cylinders to beat the remaining field of the 2015 playoffs.

Fan Shout
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (2h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Dan Campbell on onside kick with 12 minutes left: In hindsight, wish I didn’t do that
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : They have that whole 12th man thing so ...
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Of the times we've played there, I just can't recall hearing our fans.
wpr (16-Dec) : Well done jdlax. Well done.
wpr (16-Dec) : I think more likely to be Pack fans that live in the area.
