Man, I gotta get me some of the "stereo-oids" to improve my Wii golf game. :thumbright: Then I can crank out drives on Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09 over 400 yards. I'm kinda stuck at 315 yards with my driver. Never mind I'm always in the rough or out of bounds....it's distance that counts, baby.

Seriously though, (Cheesey is laughing now), Baseball seems to be taking it in the shorts, but what about almost every other sport? Football, track, cycling, etc. I'll bet even the Chinese "pump up" their table tennis players. How'd you like that little white plastic ball coming back at you at Mach 2? Or golf? Can you see John Daly hitting his long driver after a few months on steroids....not to mention if his BAC is about .35. Crap, they'd have to make TPC Scottsdale about 15,000 yards long.

This will be a never ending debate. To me, give it a rest; put a whole bunch of asteriks in front of their names, (those that tested positive), and get on with the games. In the meantime, I'm playing Wolf Creek in Mesquit NV and I sure could use a bit more distance on my drives. Anybody got some "juice"?

Mon, 09 Feb 2009 11:27:26 -0800

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

just to remind EVERYONE

Steroids help gain muscle, but there are also types that help a person recovery from an injury sooner..

My point of showing the pictures of A-Rod is that you cant tell a difference, but he still tested +

Who recalls Fernando Vena? He admitted to taking them but we all know he isnt the hulk..

Not say they were right in doing them, just trying to show not all wanted to bulk up

I'd agree with that.
I have been given steroids before, for health issues. But it was for a VERY short time.
If a person bulks up on them, they had to be using for more then just a short time. Even with roids, you don't just gain muscle overnight. And you still have to work out to get results from them.

Hey Bob....not to derail the thread, but is that Wii game console any good? I still have my "super Nintendo".
I'd LOVE to have one of those Wii's. On TV, they look like alot of fun.

I think of all of the hate, all of the crap he went through, and all he was doing was telling the fircken truth in a tell all book.

Do not get me wrong. I am no fan of Jose, but the fact is the man was vilified for being honest IN MOST CASES.

True R.P.......very true.
I think alot of people wanted to keep their eyes closed on what was REALLY happening. Canseco made them face it........and they didn't like the results.
Plus, my own feelings are, alot of people don't like a squeeler.......even if they ARE telling the truth.
Me.......i don't think there was anything wrong with what he did, as long as it was true.

Yes, Cheesey, the Wii is absolutely the best. Get the basic package if you can, then get the Game Party disc and if you like golf, get the Tiger Woods '09 disc. The graphics in this are absolutely fantastic. It is fun, and Donna and I bowl every night on the regular Wii package. At least it keeps me awake past 8:00pm. The darts and table bowling are fun too.

Check Wal-Mart or Target and they may have a special on Wii....but generally it's about $249 for the basic package.

Thanks for the info!
Are the controls easy to use?
I have tried other consoles on display at stores, and you have to "push button A, while holding down button B, and with your nose push the toggle switch from side to side, 30 times a second".........and thats just to set it up!

It depends on the game you're playing. Like the bowling...you have to push A to get your guy up to bowl, then hold B while you roll the ball. It's not hard to get used to............which is why, I've heard through the grapevine, that no Wii's have been sold in Minnesota. The alphabet up there only goes to A....for ALMOST!! And they have a special button on Minnesota Wii's that is 0-4 and a small picture of the Lombardi Trophy next to it.

If you get one, you'll enjoy it. I'm gonna go golf TPC Sawgrass now. My last round there was 8 over par, but at least I scared the shit out of the snakes and fish in the water holes.
