Bullshit. He's just holding it longer, not throwing "contested" balls like he used to. There were more open guys who didn't get the ball this past week then any game so far.

JJ was WIDE OPEN down the sideline on the third to last play this week. Was RR "open" on the second to last play? Aaron pissed away the division title out of spite.

If the pattern calls for a 30 yard ball, if Rodgers throws it at 20, JJ wouldn't be looking or expecting the ball anyway. Not to mention by the time you can see that a guy is open at 15 yards, it is already to late to be able to time a throw to get to him where he isn't covered.

You can't just look and say, well he wasn't covered at 15 yards why didn't he throw to him. This isn't the playground.

I need you guys to help me solve my position about Rodgers.

I don't buy the "receivers don't get open" or any physical explanation because he played brilliant the first 5 games of the season and we know he is probably at the same level as Brady and believe it or not our WRs are better than the ones that Brady has.

I also don't buy that he is tanking to get rid of MM, it sounds ridiculous and he is not doing it too well suddenly he starts playing like crap? suddenly he can't throw a quick slant against 4 DBs deep? suddenly he throws the ball to a TE with time running out when he is nowhere near the sideline? He is playing too bad to be tanking. I'd think he is smart enough to be a better actor.

So what is it?

Bingo!

And he may have checked hot [but agree he didn't act like it] and the WR goofed or the RB was hot who got grabbed and swallowed up. So, you get rid of the effing ball!!!!

And this is One play; if Aaron Rodgers didn't check hot, It may have been an unscouted look, maybe several times in the past game or 2 Harrison was brought up in the slot and DIDN'T blitz. If so, it's one for Zimmer, we're not playing high school kids and coaches out there; but this was not the norm of what occurred in Minn; this was an aberration.

Aaron Rodgers was not brilliant in the first 5 games. He has had two very efficient games but that is about it. This offense has struggled all year.

What made this offense so great was the yards after catch. In the past, receivers have been able to get open with space in front of them and Rodgers would put the ball in the perfect spot. That has not happened this year.

The Redskins will be a very very good test this week because I (we?) believe the gameplan will be very pass-oriented because Washington is 31st against the pass and has no secondary. So Rodgers -in theory- should like the gameplan and play a very good game.

We'll be watching.

I'm guessing GB was waiting for that alignment and the route combo was set to take advantage of Smith retreating; Stark chips on blitzing LB and Cobb is open in middle of the field. The only problem is Hunter dropped into coverage disrupting throw to Cobb.

And if my RB is hot; I'm sending him to the area where the blitz is expected to come from [the middle] and he can chip on the way out so his being hot is disguised.

Well they are crowding the box and middle of the field begging the Packers to beat them on the outside. Throw too much inside and you'll get jumped routes and/or tip picks.

at 22 seconds Rodgers is looking left; Rodgers/Cobb in flat; Jones slows as if to block and takes off; but his CB stays to guard the screen. Sendejo is late and Jones is WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE open for 15-20 yards! FOR 15 TO 20 YARDS.

This was 100% by design. And AR 100% literally shit his pants.

You make a somewhat advanced football thinking statement about the WR needing to be ready for the ball, only problem, it has no application to this play.

I mean WTF are you looking at or are you just purposefully trying to deceive, I dont get it! Jones was ready, as soon as his guy stopped JJ was looking back for the ball! And if JJ aint ready, which he obviously was, why would the ball sail, makes no sense.

There are 50 QB in college every year that have Rodgers' physical skills. The difference between Brady, Sanchez and Trent Edwards [Ranking of physical skills: Edwards, Sanchez, Brady] is their ability to see the field in slow-mo and not be scared of the pass rush.

Rodgers instead of focusing on the route; saw Griffen and Sitton engaged, but he didn't stand up like a man in the pocket and stopped looking at the route too early. Then he tucks the ball and sprints out FEARING that someone was coming from the rightside, but the backside was blocked well. And this is important: as Rodgers is maneuvering he refuses to look and see if JJ is open! So by the time he sprints WAYYYYY outside for absolutely no reason, and then looks up, it's too late. In years past when AR was moving, he's looking downfield.

In years past; AR stood in the pocket like man EG Cobb throw to beat Bears in 2013 w/ Peppers bearing down. If the old Rodgers didn't like the Griffen/Sitton match and he pulled it down; his eyes would have remained on the route and he would have made a skip step or 2 left and hit the WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE open Jones.

Rodgers aint coming back. Beside succumbing to narcissistic arrogance; he's got money and prestige and lost the will to take a hit! He's a scared little egocentric debutante.

Note: it dawned on me, when watching Rodgers unable to see that his backside was protected that maybe Rodgers has lost some peripheral vision. This would explain alot, maybe in years past with his head forward he saw the whole field, as well as the DEs until they were well behind him. But, now he cant see the edges of the field and the DEs are in an absolute blind spot. If he's often turning his head to look for them, this would explain why so many throws are so late and delivered off target.
