Do you agree with the Packers taking WR in Round 1?

#27 Green Bay Packers: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State

Height / Weight:
6-3 / 210

I've had the Packers going with a defensive player for quite a while now, but it has become clear that Ted Thompson needs to find help for Aaron Rodgers. The receiving corps will be better with Jordy Nelson back next year, but it's in complete shambles right now, so a third starter to replace the anemic Davante Adams or mediocre James Jones could be obtained.

Pick change; previously Scooby Wright, LB

Hell no.
Jordy will be back, Montgomery will be healthy, if we add Abby and Janis WR will be our deepest position.

If you ask me to draft by need and not BPA then I would go:

Round 1: ILB
Round 2: OLB
Round 3: TE
Round 4: T
Round 5: S
Round 6: CB
Round 7: WR

Totally agree with Luis on this one. If the BPA is an ILB that would be great. Would like to see a Tackle drafted as well. Much of the draft need IMO will depend on what Ted does with our FAs. If we sign Neal and Perry then the requirement for an OLB goes down. We still need to find a way to get Clay back at OLB full time.

I would rather draft a TE than WR unless they have special ST qualities as a return guy. Still wish we would have hit on Lockett last year.

Michael Thomas certainly has the size, but I don't see the technique I like from a WR. I want somebody who can run routes and can catch the ball with his HANDS.

You look at Odell Beckham. He doesn't look intimidating at all, and while his pre-game routine is pretty flashy and stupid, the man deserves every bit of attention he's getting.

Ted won't take wr in the 1st rnd.

His success has been picking wr's in the 2nd .

Maybe he will trade out of the 1st and take Thomas in the 2nd if he is still there.

Gonna join the crazy crowd for a second and say The Packers trade Aaron Rodgers to Tennessee for that. #1 overall and grab Joey Bosa!
😄😄😄😄

Thankfully Ted and Mike don't give up on young guys as fast as some of the members here.

Plenty of FA's to be evaluated and signed or let go before draft needs are determined.

I say pick up a second tier possession WR in free agency this off season. I'd like to see us draft a left tackle with the first round pick and an inside linebacker that can play sideline to sideline and cover a running back. The game last night could have been a lot different had Bridgewater hit McKinnon on a couple of those plays last night. I had flashbacks to AJ Hawk in coverage watching Ryan trailing the play by five yards.

I'd be down for a receiver in the first if he was a true game changer. To me that would have made a world of difference this year. Jordy is 30 coming off a torn acl. Cobb is no number one. Some want Adams cut. I am Ty fan #1, but he has produced less than Adams did his rookie season and now he is our savior? Janis, really? If the staff had any trust at all in him as a receiver don't you think he would be getting snaps? Abracadabra is a stud get him on the field!

We should probably draft a few Wrs and TE because if the shelves in GB aren't fully stocked with great talent Aaron Rodgers apparently turns into Ryan Fitzpatrick

Jordy is coming off 2 surgeries in the last 12 months and will be 32? We can't assume he's magically going to be 2014 Jordy.

Additionally, if this season hasn't shown us wr talent is among the top priorities of this team, I don't know what will. I'm not saying get a wr in the 1st, but we need someone who is fast/elusive/good route runner...we already have a roster full of plodders with good hands or burners who can't run a route.

Unless he projects as a OT, we should probably look at somebody else. We need an Oline that can push defensive lines around, for the run game and passing game alike.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : NFL informed teams today that the 2025 salary cap will be roughly $277.5M-$281.5M
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
