I don't want a soft schedule. Who cares if we can beat up the little guy? If we can't beat the top teams then id rather not win at all and finally get us a year with a high pick. I'd rather not relive this season again next year.

The way it is going around Titletown teams will start looking at us as Soft Opponents. I'm sure this hasn't happened in the last 10 years. Funny thing with schedules... you never know what team will come out swinging in any given season.

Our own 2010 season comes to mind. Two of our losses came with Flynn starting, but we didn't look dominant. Didn't even win the division. I agree with you that we didn't look as bad as we did this year (the offense and defense both ended up in the top 10), but with Jordy back and a couple of rookies in the fold, I certainly think we could be a competitive team if you get into the play-offs.

What do you really win by only facing the top teams? We're not a doormat, so we wouldn't go below 7-9, most likely, but chances would be slimmer that we make it to the play-offs.

The whole "they haven't beaten any winning teams" argument never made sense to me. The majority of games will be played against mediocre or losing teams. 32 teams in the league, only 12 make the playoffs. That leaves 20 teams that usually aren't very competitive. Highly unlikely any team's schedule would ever be very strong.

I don't pay any attention to what a teams record was one season to determine how good they will be in another. there are always to many questions and changes.

Dallas likely won't be missing Romo for 10 games and Dez for 9.
NYG, Philly who is going to be coaching those underachieving teams.
What will Luck come back like when healthy.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
