Updated Defense and Kickers mainly. I really think we should have 1/2 point per reception too. I know some argue you shouldn't reward a receiver for catching a pass behind the line of scrimmage, but they did their job in catching it and that really should count for something. Besides, if they lose yards, they are already penalized, why double dip?

Here's the scoring at this point.

Take out the Team Defense as an option, and draft individual defensive players instead.

In all the leagues I ran I transitioned them from team defenses to IDP's. Not a single person in those leagues had ever played it that way before, and everyone loved it.

The way it is done in my leagues:

1. Remove Team Defense
2. Add 1 LB position
3. Add 1 DB position (safety or cb)
4. Add 1 DL Position (dt or de)

I also removed kickers from all of my leagues, because I fucking hate them.

Once your league gets more experienced with using IDPs you can expand to more than 1 at each defensive position, but I would start with 1 each.

Then the scoring double counts points for a team if the player gets a sack and they have that defense. I suppose it would be fine if it was one way or the other though. But if I had to choose, I'd chose DST every time.

And removing kickers is silly too.

I just wanted to pop in and remind people about the FleaFlicker draft room. Things may have changed this year, but I remember last year I could only see 10-12 players at a time in the draft window. If you're brave and know how to use the Inspect tool in your browser you can modify the CSS to show more players. I'd be happy to help with instructions on this.

I've included a screenshot of what my window looked like after I made the modifications last year. Cheers!

If you watch the draft, you know people just doing whack-a-player for their selections so the fewer they see, the gooder for them. šŸ˜‰
