The Packers are in the dance, they are in the playoffs. Sit Aaron on Sunday. Please.

There is no reason to put his football life in risk.

They may have better wideouts but the difference between Rodgers and Osweiler makes up for that. I don't know anything about Denver's O line so I can't speak to that. I also think that yesterday may have been a spark to light things up. I'm not saying we will do any better against Mack but I think we can. We also have the benefit of having seen it so we may be able to come up with something to stop it.

Sit Aaron this Sunday .

That's the dumbest thing that I believe I've ever read in a thread. It sounds like someone is afraid that their Left Coast Raiders are about to be carved up by Aaron Rodgers. Well don't worry so much, the Packers don't have WR's that can get open or catch balls. Look for heavy doses Lacy and Stark's.

1) We haven't clinched a berth yet

2) We still have an outside shot at a 2 seed.

3) We have a QB who is still not really on the same page with our receivers and it would be a really good idea to get them all there before the playoffs.

And now that I said all that I noticed that a Raider fan started this thread and it all makes a lot more sense now. 🙂

I understand and I think it is not a dumb idea but it won't happen.
You can't play afraid of injuries, the day you play fearing injury you should stop playing.

Rick (raider pride) is a fan of the Raiders AND the Packers.
So I don't think what he wrote was to save the Raiders, but was to save AR from possible injury.

There is more to just deciding to sit Rodgers. IF that was the plan than this weeks practice would require more work for Tolzein to prepare for Oakland. This is December and it's critical the team build momentum and I don't see the sense in sitting Rodgers especially now that McCarthy just took back play calling.

That is no small deal IMO. In this first game with MM calling plays we saw higher 1st down production in correlation with a higher 3rd down conversion ratio. The other area that had declined is success against the blitz. In the past the combo of McCarthy calling plays and Rodgers shredded D's that sent a blitz.

I thought it was interesting that Dallas chose not to blitz us often even though they were successful the previous week and the Packers hadn't proven as deadly burning teams as they had in the past. Obviously the play calling is critical when teams start bringing their LB'rs. I am hopeful we see a continuation of higher 3rd down conversions AND a higher level of success against the blitz more like we are used to seeing.

One game does not make a trend so I see it critical to the success down the road that Rodgers build on what was seen against Dallas and December isn't the time to sit the guy when the O needs to continue to strive to get better.

I see Mack as a good test. IF MM and Arod can make Oakland pay other teams will have to take note and improvement in that area will be huge going forward.
