I think Ryan is a little more than AJ Hawk 2.0, but I'd like to see him be consistent. I think he can be an above average starter. And I say that as a Nate Palmer guy.

I'm glad Ryan is finally getting to play.
He should have been starting months ago IMHO.
Palmer was just a body.

Ryan plays the run really well, pretty sure he'll be toast in coverage though.

Ryan played pretty good, but I mostly remember him playing well against the run. I am not sure he is quick enough or has the instincts to be anything other than serviceable against the pass which has been a weakness for way too long.

We have drafted guys aplenty to prevent the pass, but avoided it in the area where we seem to get burned the most often.

Since Ryan was one of my favorite draft picks this year, I love this.

I just wonder why he didnt get more reps earlier.

I'll be honest, I was more than pleasantly surprised at his play in the Lions game. He wraps up and tackles aggressively and with a bit of ferocity. It was nice to see.
