I think what helped him out this game was they had him run more vertical routes/turned him upfield quicker this game. The dude's no burner and they had him running horizontal routes out of the backfield a lot this season and we saw the results: a lot of short passes and him hitting the turf right away. With his frame and hands, he's definitely got the ability to be a red zone target/possession TE as along as there's another receiver/TE going vertical to stretch the D.

Tundra that is spot on! and let me add he was allowed to run for the first time across the middle. Quddus is one of the faster safeties in the NFL; yet, when RichRod made his move for separation Quddus couldn't close the gap hardly at all.

It is amazing how much faster RichRod looked when AR was decisive, timely and accurate w/ his throws.

And dont forget he got a 40 yard PI call as well. RichRod had Bynes beat by 10 yards and had Quddus [who came over with Safety help] beat by 3-4 but AR underthrew the pass, it would have required a broken tackle from Quddus; but RichRod could have had another 91 and a TD added to his stats.

AS nerd says, this guy is football fast enough.

48 catches for 605 yards and 2 TD's = Jimmy Graham > 2.9 million base salary + 5 million roster bonus + 100k workout bonus = 8 million

40 catches for 293 yards and 5 TD's = Richard Rodgers > 512,500$ base salary + 10k workout bonus = 522,500$(these numbers do not reflect the breakout performance against detroit as the others have not played yet)

50 catches for 425 yards and 3 TD's = Martellus Bennett > 4.9 million base salary + 100k workout bonus = 5 million

53 catches for 788 yards and 6 TD's = Greg Olsen > 900k base salary + 12 million signing bonus + 100k workout bonus = 13 million

46 catches for 453 yards and 2 TD's = Charles Clay > 3 million base salary + 10 million signing bonus = 13 million

All five tight ends have played in every game up to this point except for Bennett who has missed one game

In pay for performance, what have you done for me lately NFL we could be doing much worse than Richard Rodgers. outside of Gronk who is a mutant, tight ends are a mess this year.
