If the Vikings pick him up, I say more power to them. The game wouldn't garner the same astronomical ratings as it would have last year, since this story has been beaten to tatters, but I'd pay money to see it. I'm confident that with Dom Capers at the helm of our defense and Brett Favre at the helm of the Vikings, we would sweep them convincingly, and what a sweet brace of victories it would be. 😃

That would be an act of pure desperation, and if I were a Vikings fan I would be pissed.

I'm looking at the available (or possibly available) QBs, and there's no way I'm going for Favre unless I'm dead-on positive that will mean a Super Bowl win - not just a berth, a WIN. Otherwise, it's a perfect way to piss a good team down the drain.

What they need to do is either get someone like Cassel, or settle down and let T-Jack develop. Or at least get someone like McNabb who's going to be good for a couple-three years.

That said, I wouldn't be shocked if it happened, nor would I be shocked if it didn't work.

I wouldn't be surprised and I'm looking forward to it. I've lost some of my 'favroiteness' for Brett over the last year. Too many things have come out about him. I really wish he'd have stayed retired.

It would be a perfect fit. Brett wins 13 games in regular season with the Vikings, his arm goes out in the Playoffs, and they get spanked by a team they should have beaten by 21 points. Sounds very Vikings to me.

By the way, you all know I love Brett but his arm is going out. I hate to say it, but it's the sad truth. I watched every Jets game last year and it was painful watching him in the last 5 games. Painful.
