And McCarthy and his staff are doing too little in coaching this team into a better position to win.
When Jordy was playing and Rodgers and Lacy were on top of their game they covered up alot of ills.
At this point these three all have issues, yet the coaching staff seems unable to to change things (play calling perhaps) up to put this team in a better position to succeed.
Hopefully they can come up with a plan to wake this team up.
And soon!

The first thing Rodgers should be doing is moving the chains. It is embarrassing that a MVP quarterback throws a 20 yard pass on 3rd down when he can easily pick up the yards with his feet. To me that is just football basics. You take what you are given and move on. It seems like he is so used to scoring quickly that he is not out of sorts that those plays are not there. I also think his play is rubbing off on the D. I know I would be pissed that I am getting put back on the field just because Aaron felt it beneath him to take the simple yards with his feet.

Sounds like people are saying what Aaron wants to hear.

Most of us looked at that game and said who cares, he was efficient and we won the game. Unfortunately, in today's game, short passes don't cut it. Vic loves the long ball. He hates the dink and dunk and it seems the majority of fans agree with him. A QB can have a great rating and win the game but if he doesn't throw the long ball he is just so so. I'm not saying Rodgers is listening to any of these fans but it seems like he has the same mindset.

I'm not laying all the offensive woes at Aaron's feet. No one is playing consistently well these days. On the other hand, as several fans have liked to point out, Rodgers has been able to mask a lot of ills. Well he is doing something different now because he certainly is not masking anything.

McCarthy also said coaches need to get the players playing at a higher level when it comes to fundamentals. What do you think he means by that? Fundamentals can mean a lot of different things.

RC: "It’s just not trying to do too much. Route running, or not trying to run before you catch the ball. Just the basic fundamentals of catching the ball before you run. Looking the ball all the way in. I can’t speak for any other position because I don’t know exactly what those fundamentals are. They may be hand placement. … A quarterback going through his reads. It’s just those basic principles that when you get to such an advanced level, sometimes you tend to look past them."
