Ok guys i was having a little fun with this i will not get back into the blame game. But i will once again say qbs are judged by wins and losses and Rodgers even said that. But i admit the team losses and the team wins but when it comes down to it the qb is judged mainly by wins and losses no matter who the qb is.

All players are going to say that, but your not going anywheres with the D we had last year. Best case scenario he steals a few games and we end up at 8-8. (Or we kick the 2 FG's).

And any QB is going to say "We had a chance to win." But the fact is the percentage of a team that needs more then 3 points at the last drive, and actually doing it, is very low. If you do that 1-2 times a year your in good shape. But unfortunately that's the position our D put us in last year, by giving up sooo many TD's.

If a QB is judged by his wins and losses why is it that twenty plus teams would put him on a hijacked plane to some unknown island until next year if it meant he could play for them?

Guess it's BY WHOM and BY WHAT it is your being judged by maybe?

AND, if I may add, should he put up the same numbers in the next four years yet the win/loss record is the same there will be twenty teams with planes sitting on the runway.

Hazer,

It is called taking ownership and it is called acccountability. All great leaders do it, even if it is really not their fault. He is a great leader already.

I have not heard the man make an excuse this year.

Yooper,

If we fast forward to September we will all miss summer. I am too old to be giving up any summers. I will wait and hope September does not come too soon.

P.S. Based on this interview Rodgers should be in the Monday Night Football booth. He has a great career in broadcasting waiting him after his football career is over.

Holy crap guys you won't even listen to Rodgers him self he says qbs are judged by wins and losses plain and simple. He is a qb and saying that but yet you still want to deny it. I am not saying anything negative here just was saying that Rodgers backs everything i said on how qbs are judged. I am really starting to give up on posting in any damn thread with Rodgers in it.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I agree with you that that is how they are judged. I don't necessarily agree with you that it is how they SHOULD be judged. It's far too simplistic. Reality is complex. Trying to simplify it only causes problems.

Wow, so NOW that Rodgers says something you agree with, now his words are gospel? Kind of like how you throw stats all over the place that are 'your point' specific yet ... oh nevermind. :thumbleft: :thumbright:

Yes, I heard him say that a QB is judged on wins and losses. But I also heard him say that they had alot of good second-to-last drives, but not so good final drives. And IMO, there seems to be a few of us saying that those "second to last" drives SHOULD have been the final drive, if not for our defense.

But yet, he still took his (IMO more than fair) share of the blame, and didn't take it to the place that I just did. I'm sorry, I just love the way he carries himself around every turn...on the field and when speaking.

He's a QB.
He's going to take all the blame for losses because when they win he gets the credit.

exactly Zero i wasnt making any type of cutdown or praise in any of the posts in this thread it actually started out as a joke. But i thought it was funny how many times i said the same exact thing he did and people pretty much told me i didn't know what i was talking about. And it was funny to see how many people still tried to say thats not how it is even when their franchise says the same exact thing. No matter who the qb is thats how he is judged like it or not just how it goes.

Once again this wasnt meant to be as a cutdown towards Rodgers or praise i was just having fun with some of you posters.

btw, as a QB, you touch the ball every snap on offense, you decide what happens. You feel like the game is in YOUR hands, literally. It's the only way to play the position. And you can ask any great competitor this question, do you want the ball in your hands for the game deciding play? Every one of them will say answer with an astounding 'hell yes'. Because they want to control the outcome with their talent.

Rodgers saying he's to blame or he needs to up the ante means squat to me. Now if he said he wasn't to blame, that'd be a issue with me. But he's saying what any real competitor would. He's not agreeing with you. You agree with the mentality of a real competitor.
