The amount taxes take I found to be astonishing. I probably shouldn't gripe so much about having 28% taken out of every check I guess, lol.

If they are paying that much of their income in taxes, than they fit the stereotype of a dumb jock. that figure is an estimate based on not claiming any deductions. Unlikely.
