Cobb surely isn't a big body, but Cobb is an end zone guy... he's quick and reads and adjust to the QB fast and great at finding holes. Yes they went to him a lot... but guess what... most teams go to their #1 a lot... and Panthers #1 DB was on James Jones... and Cobb was left WIDE OPEN in the end zone... so why not go to him?

Cobb is wide open but they are bringing the house. again this should have been a 3rd down play. I swear we tend to outthink ourselves in short yardage plays.

Aaron didn't help matters today like I expected him to, but it cannot be overstated how much of a disappointment the offensive line and blocking in general was today. Even Kuhn missed an assignment. I cannot remember the last time I saw that happen.

We had a great pass play to Rip and they never gave him another chance.

I know it's a small sample but Quarless, Percillo and Backman have the combined stats of 4 catches for 41 yards (10.25 yards per catch) mean while Ripkowski has 1 catch for 18 yards with only a handful (or less) of offensive snaps... and Rip seems to move extremely well for a FB... and moves more like a TE might... heck he might run some routes better than Percillo and Backman.

If Rip is picking things up (which I don't know if he is or not) than maybe they should expand on it some, and treat him like a FB/TE instead of just a pure FB.

Its what I've been saying. They have been depending on the scramble plays so much for a long time that he is quick to pass on a WR that is open by NFL standards, expecting that something will develop by extending the play. It isn't just these last couple games, it has been seen over the last few years when we face the tougher defenses.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I wouldn't say he was playing scared. He just got spooked on the last play and heard footsteps that weren't there. The rest of the game he was getting the ball out and taking more chances than he has the last few. I thought it was a step in the right direction for him though his accuracy was still off on a lot of potential big plays. There was too much pressure today and it got to him and affected him.

one too many hits can do that to a player

Derek and Aaron are neck and neck after 8 games.

The Packers need to making protecting Aaron priority number one.

Got to hit some of those shorter routes, such as slants and other stuff along with the bigger plays too.

Also give Ben McAdoo some credit with the Giants for fixing some of Eli's problems and getting more easier stuff for the QB to get him in a rhythm and started that way.

And Marcus Mariota and Philip Rivers are tied with Rodgers for 19 sacks and Tom Brady is only one behind with 18.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
