Reggie Nelson, Ben Grubbs, Greg Olsen, and Jon Beason all look pretty good. Aaron Ross too.

Knowing what we know now though LarMarr Woodley would look pretty good in green and gold considering the move to the 3-4.

I wanted Marshawn Lynch at the time, but he wasn't there so my No. 2 would have been Greg Olsen and I think he'd be the pick right now. Considering he had 54 catches on the Bears offense makes him a little undervalued.

I don't really buy that argument. They had crap for WR's so the TE becomes the easy/go-to pass.

Greg Olsen in 2008: 574 yards, 5 TD's
Desmond Clarke in 2007: 545 yards, 4 TD's
Desmond Clarke in 2006: 626 yards, 6 TD's

That position on the Bears will yield those numbers. Olsen is just a warm body on the football field. Obviously a better pick than Harrell if Harrell never gets ON the field, but if he does and contributes even a little bit, it's at the very worst a draw.

Greg Olsen, DD is THE ONLY threat we have over the middle of the field for the past 7 seasons.

No, Donald Lee is not good enough, not even close. His stats are terrible over the last few years.

He just needs to be thrown to more often. Stats don't dictate whether or not you are good over the middle...I agree though, DD is our best over the middle receiver we've had in a long time, but I think Donald Lee can do it as well. Also, I don't think Jordy or Greg would be afraid to do it, you just haven't seen it yet BECAUSE of DD doing it FOR them.

well I think Donald Lee's time has past. He will see even less playing time in '09 because J. Finley is going to have a breakout season.

I liked Dwayne Bowe and Leon Hall back then. Olson seemed like his stock rose too much (3rd round to 1st round) because of his great 40 time. I also thought Alan Branch was a better prospect than Harrell. Both look like busts now.

Hindsight being 20-20, I think that LaMarr Woodley OLB/DE would be the best fit for our team right now. He has been a beast for Pittsburgh, but then again everyone on that defense is a beast. Ryan Harris, the tackle for Denver has also developed into a good player.

James Jones will go across the middle. Remember the Bengals preseason game where his helmet got knocked off and he still scored???
