We have a pair of new teams in the top five this week. How's this for silly? Panthers win and lose two spots and their opponent the Seahawks rises seven spots. I was tempted to drop them a peg or two, but I want these to be more data/formula based than spite based. šŸ™‚

The Texans and Seahawks jumped up the most with their +7 improvement followed by Dolphins who climbed +6. The biggest floppers were Jaguars losing -7 spots with Redskins and Titans both moving -6 back.

  1. Green Bay Packers 0
  2. Arizona Cardinals 0
  3. New England Patriots 0
  4. Cincinnati Bengals 2
  5. New York Jets 2
  6. Buffalo Bills -2
  7. Carolina Panthers -2
  8. San Diego Chargers 0
  9. Seattle Seahawks 7
  10. Pittsburgh Steelers 5
  11. New York Giants -1
  12. Atlanta Falcons -1
  13. Cleveland Browns 4
  14. Denver Broncos -2
  15. Tennessee Titans -6
  16. Oakland Raiders -3
  17. Philadelphia Eagles 1
  18. Dallas Cowboys 1
  19. Minnesota Vikings -5
  20. Houston Texans 7
  21. Kansas City Chiefs 2
  22. Miami Dolphins 6
  23. New Orleans Saints 1
  24. Indianapolis Colts 1
  25. St. Louis Rams -3
  26. Washington Redskins -6
  27. San Francisco 49ers 4
  28. Jacksonville Jaguars -7
  29. Baltimore Ravens -3
  30. Chicago Bears -1
  31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1
  32. Detroit Lions 0

I'm feeling Jets over Patriots this week for my upset. The Patriots are 9.5 favorites, but the Jets and Dolphins seem to always give Patriots a run for their money and I think there is going to be a Patriot let down. Bonus upset pick, 49ers over Seahawks who are 6 point favorites.

Apparently you haven't done your "pick'em" yet, because it's 100% for the Patriots at this point.

Yeah, that is interesting about the Seahawks - they choke it away and you raise them up? It would really be interesting to see the nuts and bolts of your ranking system. Yours looks better this week than any previous although still way off in the bottom half.

I'll be back with mine later.

As I said last week, I tend to start out with who was expected to be good or bad before the season and then adjust, but not in too extreme a way. I also often deviate from my own rankings in the Pick 'Em - maybe why I am so far down there.

Maybe not perfect, but I think it looks like a decent algorithm.

Like I said, I think it was a decent algorithm, the algorithm might need some improvements still and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chargers being the big movers going up on this list in coming weeks. Most algorithms have flaws, and the Chargers could be falling into one at the moment in this one.

As for the Titans and Chiefs, I'm not sure they're that good of teams.

As I have said, it's all about who can beat who(m). You better recheck your algorithm hahahahaha, cuz it sure doesn't come close to doing that.

At least you made an effort, though. A LOT of others haven't got the testicular fortitude.

beast (10h) : I was kind of hoping Douglas might come back to the Pack
beast (10h) : My question is how much do we trust Jenkins? In bad weather, he seemed to struggle a bit with ball control snapping, though he started at OG
beast (10h) : Well Jenkins probably knows he's not getting that 2026 salary number without a new contact... so just trying to get the new contact early
Zero2Cool (15h) : CB Rasul Douglas is visiting the #Seahawks today, per source.
dfosterf (18h) : He's a switch and baiter. Its the same as a bait and switcher except he agreed to the switch first lol
dfosterf (18h) : 6.8 mil raise next year. Those are existing contract numbers
dfosterf (18h) : 12.8 plus 4.8 pro rata signing bonus is 17.6 mil. Top center in the league at 18

dfosterf (12-May) : Today would be a good day to discover the Pack signed Taylor Engersma, the Canadian QB

Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
    Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
