Should The Pack Bring KGB Back For The 3-4 Defense?

Here we go...

Do you know who could be a good fit for this new 3-4 defense? KGB... SURPRISE! Look at his skills... fast, athletic, hybrid DE/LB. Don't be surprised if you begin hearing that the Pack may consider bringing him back for this defense.

I was also thinking this same idea.

I think it might work....but I don't know; if he has the same problems this year as he did last year then it would be bad.

I don't think it'll happen, but those are the sort of players that the Pack will need to play OLB in the 3-4.

I said this in another thread, although I added there it's more wishfull thinking than really seeing this happen.

He could never really stop the run, I doubt his coverage skills are any good, as they could've moved him to OLB sooner and his two best assets, his speed and atheltic moves (Like his spin) seem to have gone down hill after his knee operation.

Maybe they could try him out and if he does well, sign him for a very small amount of cash. I don't see this happening though.

I'd be all for giving him a shot in training camp. He's a character guy who always gave 10=10%.

It all depends on whether his knee can hold up or not. The Pack must have not felt too good about his knee if they let him go after the Cullen Jenkins injury.

Too old, too injury prone... I love the guy, but i would rather give that roster spot to a young player with potential.

If KGB would come back to get a spot he would probably get the quick burst off the snap he didn't have last year. He would also have to stop the run. And Kampman look about as good that one time he tried covering Whitten as KGB did in coverage last year.

And yes the Packers did ask their DE to cover every so often. I don't see KGB coming back.

I don't think this will happen.

We might bring him back in training camp, but KGB has obviously lost a step. It's too bad. I like the guy. But I seriously doubt that even if he's with us in preseason he makes the team regular season.

Maybe sign him if Thompson, Hunter, Montgomery and which ever player that is drafted/FA all end up on IR during training camp.
