Where have you heard that from?

I'm quite content with Edgar Bennett. Sucks for Philbin right now, but at season's end there will be opportunities for him.

Nerd, I really don't know how I know this, it's just something "I always knew" and was greatly concerned the affect it would have on the O when he left. I didn't pay much attention to what MM did in SF; but was enamored with what he did w/ Brooks and that passing game in NO. It was unique in that it was a more wide open version of the WCO, like we run [well not quite so wide open so far this year]; but in MM's "NO playbook" there was no such thing as "throwing open;" "back shoulder fades;" pre-snap route adjustments; post-snap route adjustments; isolating match-ups; etc. Ya know the things that really make our Offense unique and pure hell on the receivers. Those things came to fruition chiefly through the efforts of ex Harvard OC, Philbin. Now surely, MM, TC, Mcadoo collaborated; but Philbin was the brains behind putting it all together.

We know MM couldn't have been the architect because he was busy diddling the ex-wife of William F, Kress, yes the Kress on the Packers' Board of Directors...Got her pregnant and THEN they married. I don't know where I know that from either😂. Perhaps I shouldn't give such ammo to the MM haters...But I did it so every time MM talks of discipline, they can think about MM being too undisciplined to wear a rubber, it'll drive 'em nuts...😂

Philbin is not the architect of this offense, it is McCarthy. The key difference between Mike McCarthy time in NO and SF and his time in GB is having great QBs. And if any coach on the staff is responsible for Rodgers it would be Clements who has been Rodgers QB coach.

Another strength of MM beside one Steve mentioned is he knows EVERYONE on the staff can have input into the offense and/or training of AR; titles mean nothing! MM, TC, McAdoo and Philbin was a four headed offensive monster. Capers, Moss, Turgo and Whitt formed a surrogate 5th head as their input was also vital to developing and keeping the O vibrant. And now Bennett , Vanpelt have replaced Mcadoo and Philbin; heck even Rodgers is effectively part of the offensive staff now as well.

I googled ""Joe Philbin" architect" and came up w/ this Sun-Sentinal article:

Is Joe Philbin the offensive guru he sold himself to Dolphins as?
Joe Philbin's vanilla Dolphins' offense is ranked 28th in total yards despite team's offseason makeover

October 9, 2013|Omar Kelly, Commentary

...Philbin was hired by Dolphins owner Steve Ross because he was the architect of one of the league's most up tempo offenses during his tenure as Green Bay's offensive coordinator.

While Philbin didn't call plays during games, he was credited with putting together solid game plans that exploited each opponent's weaknesses, and helping the team fine-tune the preparation during practices, and play-calling during games. Those were his strong suits.

Ironically, if there's one major gripe Dolphins fans should have about the 2013 Dolphins is that the offensive game plan, and the units overall execution has been mediocre so far this season...

Way I understood it, Philbin was the only one who'd accept the job. Owner wanted a dinner overnight, wouldn't let a new staff build something.

Just so Barfarn can't claim I improperly quoted him in the thread he accused me of lying...here's his own words on MM impregnating Jessica Kress...

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury
dfosterf (13-Aug) : Doubs says he's "fine" after injury scare. Some reported it as z
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
