Well look at who has a top 10 defense all of a sudden.

This to me is a tough game to call, despite the apparent disparity in the team rankings.

I'll go with GB in a closer-than-it-should-be victory:

GB 30
StL 23

StL gets in scoring position six times. One ends in a turnover, two in TDs, and three in FGs.
Rodgers with 4 TDs passing.

Play of the game: Jayrone Elliot gets a safety.

When Bulaga went down I was real worried about this game because I thought it was in St Louis on turf. Should still be a tough game vs their front 4.

At home the Packers are almost invincible when they face a non frequent opponent.

I project an easy win this week for us, teams like the RAMs with a very good defense perform much better at home adding the crowd noise and the cheering after every defensive play. At Lambeau that advantage liquifies.

The Rams have been extremely inconsistent - capable of beating good teams and losing to bad ones.

The Packers better beware of the Rams pass rush and D in general. As if it wasn't clear enough already, the Packers O Line got exposed against the Niners. I wish Walker would get a try replacing Barclay. It's all gonna come down to Aaron Rodgers' escapability and accuracy again - and barring injury, our chances are pretty good with that.

I don't know if our D is really that good or just that the offenses have been that bad. Foles throws better than Kaepernick but he has historically been susceptible to a good pass rush. The key to the game - I hope - is that their receivers probably are not good enough to beat Packer man coverage.

Last game was so crucial to the team. They showed that they had an answer for playing coverage and rushing 4 against the Packers. In 2011, we didn't have the running game and dedication to it in general to overcome that, and now we do. Since then, Rodgers has become better at throwing from the pocket too. This will come down to our ability to run to football at key moments.

Maybe Rodgers has become better at throwing from the pocket - I think he was great that way all along, but we certainly can't tell it from what we see in games because he virtually never has the time to throw from the pocket - and last game, that was even more extreme than most games. Furthermore, our key to winning this week and any week absolutely is NOT dedication to using the running game. Often, we waste downs with running plays and then either have to punt or make a pressure 3rd down play to keep the drive going. Sure, you have to throw in a run for a change of pace now and then, but the key is to NOT waste as many plays with runs - do like we did the first series of the game last week and then inexplicably got away from: pass pass pass - move it down the field and score. We've got the greatest QB in the history of the world and a mediocre O Line. Letting Aaron Rodgers do his thing is the obvious way to win.
