I think he deserves a thread too. I've said some negative things about him long ago. Then I changed my tune in the preseason as he looked a lot like he looked tonight. Honestly, I doubt if Lacy had not gotten hurt if he would have contributed as much as Starks did tonight.

Starks ran hard today. Great vision too.

Had a fumble, but overall played very well. Cobb looked decent coming out of the backfield.

Starks was HUGE. Other then the fumble, he did his job and did it well in place of Lacy.

Starks did a great job for sure.

And Starks went back to being a one cut runner like he was the year he did well in the playoffs which was nice to see.

He always looks like he's trying to regain his balance on ice when he runs, but whatever, it was productive and fumble aside, was a huge reason of the Packers' success tonight. Props to him.

We'll have plenty of threads about how much XYZ sucks later on this year, so I'm willing to hand out compliments like candy on a day like today!

But ... but ... but ... in the preseason, so many Packers fans said the Packers should go with two RBs... Lacy and one of the young guys and cut Starks because he's making too much (even though he's on a pretty cheap contract for a vet player)...


Seriously this is why you keep 3 RBs... because sooner or later one of them is going to get injured an hope the other can step it up. And Starks is a good hard physical runner. And so if Lacy is out next week (hopefully he's fine) but they have 2 healthy RBs to go to.

Also the plays seemed to get Starks moving a bit more before hand which I thought was very good like on the crossing pass routes. And got to give it to the linemen on both sides of the ball.
