No way Ted lets Greg walk away. At a minimum, he'll be franchised. Is he deserving of a big time Larry Fitzgerald contract? It's debatable. He's up there in terms of ability and honestly, the best wide receiver Green Bay has had since Sterling Sharpe.

Thompson knows what he has with Greg - at least, I hope so. He'd be blind to not see it. Letting go of an aged legend is one thing, but letting go of the best receiver in the NFC North is unforgiveable.

All this hand wringing.......reguardless of what some think, Ted Thompson is NOT an idiot.
He WILL get Jennings signed.
I'll bet my left nut on it.

Thompson went against consensus to draft Jennings back in 06. Now that it's paid off, why wouldn't he retain his excellent draft pick?

I disagree with the premise that GJ isn't in Fitzgerald's league. Who was Fitzgerald until this year? The former ball boy for the Vikqueens who was having some success at WR somewhere in the sand.

I hope you don't mean it seriously when you ask who was Fitzgerald before this year. He's had like 3 seasons better than Jennings had this year.

Anyway, I think resigning Jennings won't be that much of a problem, as long as we have the cap room. If we do bring in Peppers for instance and will have to resign some other guys, WR seems to be the position to let someone go if necessary. I mean, we have some depth there, especially if Thompson would draft another guy.

That said, I think Jennings will be back for another 4 years, at least.

Very good point. I think it would go against Thompsons religious beliefs not to re-up one of his own prised draft picks, his best pick by far.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't he select Aaron Rodgers?

No way, GPG. Because, you see, he hasn't won any games inside of 2 minutes yet. How could you make such a rookie mistake? 😛
