This is going to be an interesting one. Seattle's first trip to Green Bay since '09 and having beat the Packers 3 straight in Seattle. Obviously the choke job the team had in Seattle last season in the NFCCG will be front and center in story lines this week, but I don't think it's going to dwell too much on the teams mind. It's a new season and they'll be looking forward to their home opener.

Seattle is coming in off a tough road loss to what all of a sudden seems like a pretty rejuvenated Rams team and a much more competitive division and they aren't going to want to start the season 0-2.

I'd say the biggest questions are can the offense finish strong in the red zone like they did against Chicago and the defense eliminate a lot of the mistakes they made against the Bears. I don't think you can expect Russell to chuck another 4 INTs like he did in January.

I think the Packers are catching Seattle at a good time overall. They don't have arguably their best defensive player due to Kam still holding out and their secondary showed some weakness against Foles and the Rams on Sunday. If the defense can shore up it's tackling and eliminate most of those self inflicted penalties, I like our chances on Sunday. It's a huge one that could go along way towards tiebreakers and who might get HFA come January.

Honestly I'm not quite sure what to make of the Seahawks Offense vs the Packers Defense. .. as the Rams defense is so different than the Packers defense. Packers don't have the great DL like the Rams do, but I think they have better coverage guys. Is Lynch going to be running wild? Or will the Packers be able to limit the Seahawks?

Also will Burnett / Barrington be healthy?

Packers have been consistently garbage when facing athletic TE's and punishing RB's. The Seahawks have both with a mobile QB which is also something that has killed the Packers.

    Packers 29
    Seahawks 34

Packers attempt 2 point conversion late to pull within 3 and fail. Game over.

I'm glad to have been wrong about the Chicago outcome. So, hopefully, I'll be wrong two weeks in a row.

    Seattle 34
    Green Bay 21

I would be a bit more optimistic if I knew they would keep Lynch from having a huge day. Graham needs to be covered, and that hasn't been one of our strong points. This game could go either way...

    My Predictions

    1. Aaron throws 3 TDs
    2. James Jones catches another TD
    3. Marshawn Lynch makes our D look bad
    4. Jimmy Graham has a 100 yard day.
    5. Wilson throws 2 INTs
    6. Aaron throws the game winning TD after Seattle turns the ball over inside of 3 minutes

    Packers - 34
    Shehawks - 27

I see no way we are coming out of this one with a W.

    Seahawks 38
    Packers 21

We have no answers on D for Lynch

They have all the answers on D, expect for a few plays of Arod, which would bring us to 21.

Until the Packers PROVE they can beat the Hawks, I don't see a win for us.
It's time to get off the pot and get the job done!

My pre season prediction was a 12-4 record for the Packers.
I predicted the Seahawks would be one of the 4 losses and I stand by that.
I really hope we get them in Green Bay in the playoffs.
If we do I predict a Packers win enroute to the Super Bowl.

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference

Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry."
      Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Owner ... love it
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Mayo was the guy they groomed for HC and one of the reasons they let Bill go.
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Pats have the #4 pick, lots of cap space and Maye at QB; should fetch some attention
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Well that didn't take long; Jerod Mayo out as Patriots HC

Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : First alternate: Elgton Jenkins Other alternates: Jordan Love, Kenny Clark, Keisean Nixon, Tucker Kraft, Josh Myers, Jaire Alexander
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : Pro Bowl still a thing? Guess Packers have three. Jacobs, Gary, McKinney.
dfosterf (2-Jan) : It's a mine field with all the players sitting, etc
dfosterf (2-Jan) : There was quite a bit of "chalk" matchups this year it seemed, but not this week coming up
