Good news: this don’t happen if Cobb is questionable.

I think White will clear waivers and I think he’s still eligible for the GB PS. See Rules below:

A. He was on PS from 9-2-13 to 10-15-13, which is 6 weeks; but only five games [and all of 2014], so if that distinction between weeks and games is material, he’s entitled to his 2nd year.

B. If A fails; he entitled to a 3rd; but I think Ted Thompson only went with 52 one week early in 2014 and wonder if that disqualifies White from 3rd season. We had more than 53 between IR and active roster; but not sure if IR guys count.

C. If A and B fail; White has only 1 accrued season, so I think he’s eligible for that 2 man exception and none of the other guys qualify for the 2 man exception that are currently on PS.

RULES
Players must meet one of the following to be practice squad eligible:
• Have no prior Accrued Seasons in the NFL (An accrued season is six or more games on the active roster);
• Have one prior Accrued Season in which the player was on the 45-man active roster for no more than 8 games;
• Each club will be permitted to sign a maximum of 2 Practice Squad players who have earned no more than 2 accrued seasons of free agency credit;
• If served two seasons on a practice squad, are eligible for a third season only if the team has at least 53 players on its active/inactive list for the duration of that player's employment.
• A player has served one season on the practice squad if he is on the practice squad for at least 6 games. The rule previously required 3 games on the practice squad roster.

SUCKS for White but The Packers are probably better with Jones.

Not sure if Myles is eligible for PS.

I hope Ted discussed the possibility of him being cut.

With his showing this preseason somebody will surely give him a shot.

Hope he sticks.

If he got a little bit better he could be. 🤣

I guess Uncle Teddy and Mikey are going for potential because they keep Janis that has no clue what to do on offense and let your best numbers receiver in preseason walk. I wonder how he fits under their desks because he hasn't shown anything to give him a roster spot.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Janis obviously has NFL talent. White barely does. I don't think he is anything better than camp fodder or an emergency #5 WR. An administration has to have faith in their coaching staff that they can develop a player like Janis. Otherwise, they should be finding new coaches. It's an easy decision, imo.

They both screwed up a lot... Janis didn't go over the middle well but to the outside he was pretty good, White had troubles with drops, Janis went to the wrong spot one in a while pre-snap... White went to the wrong spot one in a while post-snap...

Janis has shown potential at both WR and ST, often times that's all it takes to heard the 5th WR spot... White on the other hand has shown only potential at WR .... and seriously that stopping and watching the INT by Tolizen to the spot where he was suppose to be probably killed White in the coaches eyes.

Janis might have to get under a desk at some point to make the roster.... but not to beat out White and that was easily given, if nothing else said it the depth chart did where White was dead last.

And honestly few if anyone care who lead in the preseason... as it means nothing. I believe James Jones lead the Giants, yet they still cut him. I'm pretty sure former Packers draft pick WR David Clowney lead the entire NFL in receiving a couple of years for the Jets and still struggled to make their roster even though they lacked depth at WR.... all that means is they can beat 3rd or 4th string DBs... not who can beat a starter or 2nd string player on game day.

Jones was/is a need. The learning curve isn't there, AR knows him and what he can do.
Better then a newbie that needs his hand held on every play.
