It seems like a low risk signing considering he knows the playbook and should be able to step right in. Looking at the inexperience of our WRs it makes sense.

15 is retired so I think these are the numbers available for a WR. I'm not sure if 84 is tied up with Jared Abbrederris being on Practice Squad, but threw it in anyway.

You know the best part is I was thinking 14 and 15 were retired and didn't mention Hutson because it was obvious. Then I go and add it anyway. Brilliant! Thanks for the clarification.

So if a player is on the Practice Squad, he is assigned a number?

I am staying with #85 for James Jones as a friendly jab or whatever to Greg Jennings.

This is pretty wild. I think it is safe to say that none of us expected James Jones to play for us again, and yet they just signed him to a 1 year deal.

Yeah, well, you can't have it both ways. You've been pining for JJ and it's going to be at somebody's expense. We do not need 6 wide receivers on the 53 man roster. James Jones hinders the development of younger player which is why I didn't want this signing to happen. We'll see where he lands on the depth chart, but if he takes away playing time from Montgomery and Janis, this is not a good thing.
