Man o man, there were some pleasant positives in that ugly Eagles game.
Hundley, Montgomery, Janis and Backman and Walker on offense.
Well any pleasantry on defense eludes me right now but perhaps someone can provide some.

Barrington was a helluva lot better than Hawk and Jones ever came close to being. etc. etc.

I can't help thinking, the main reason things went so bad was that Capers wasn't tipping his hand in a meaningless game. Add some scheming to what at least came close to being decent by most of the DBs and LBs, and I think we can come a lot closer to shutting down the Eagles - as well as a lot of lesser teams.

Prett much with everyone else on this one. Rodgers and Lacy are always good to see, and also some legit depth at QB. The surprise to me is I haven't heard much mention of Myles White - he had some nice catches.

I'm not reading into the defense much, as the schemes looked pretty plain against the Eagles. We will have a better idea after a couple of regular season games. Jury is still out.

I'm positive that we will all see a better Packers performance against the Saints. More focus will be placed on the Starting Lineups and getting the team ready for the opener with the Bears.
The Defense can only be better this week and Special Teams can only get better than we've already seen.
Last, I expect to see a marked improvement in the passing game as the running game continues to execute .

Winning in preseason does not matter, but building a Team does. I expect to see very good things this week from Team Packers !

Go Pack Go !!!

Backman would be interesting on those screens too.

Btw I think Vaughters made a case for himself.

The sky is not falling and the wolf is not at the door either. Lacy catching screens and breaking into an opponents secondary is a positive picture, but seeing strong, solid O-line and D-line play is my best positive picture. They are the core of the core and the foundation of any winning TEAM.

He got pushed around like a 340 pound rag doll in the past, so what does he do? He gets lighter hahahaha. What I see is he still displays a lack of strength and really ain't any faster.

Crunch time for him will come when Guion's suspension ends. I think one or the other of them will be gone.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
