Unlike many others, I decided to predict the final 53-man roster after I actually had a chance to watch the...

This roster is the closest to my own of any I have seen.

One strange thing, though - no mention at all of Mike Neal. I'd keep him and cut Perry. I'd also keep Pinkard over White.

MR edited his LB list to include Neal.

Here's my thought... turn Ripkowski into a LB. He has been phenomenal tackling on ST's. Looks very natural doing it and guys stay tackled when he gets his hands on them.

Oh, he's a FB why would we do that? This from the HIGH SCHOOL section of his bio at Packers.com:

A four-year letterman in football, power lifting, and track and field at Dayton (Texas) High School…Played defensive end, linebacker and guard…

I'd keep him as our last LB and leave Kuhn as the only FB. This guy could be a Spencer Havner utility player for us able to back up at FB if need be and then play his ST's and backup LB.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

My comments:

- No way Lane Taylor is cut, he is the default backup for both guard positions.
- I have Hubbard ahead of Vaughters, I've seen good things from Hubbard and his size alone is a factor in the field.
- I'm not sure about Goodson and Banjo, Goodson looks like a cut for me at this point and Banjo doesn't seem to be improving from Jarret Bush 2.0, a good ST player that can be a liability on coverage.
- If his injury is nothing serious Perillo is ahead of Henry, Backman and Spears as the 3rd TE.

I'd cut Barclay if he doesn't improve...ain't no one going to touch a player performing like he is right now.

We really need a journeyman OT, because Barclay sucks! Hope Ted Thompson doesn't really think he has that position covered. I'd trade some of the extra corners and running backs we seem to have before it's time to make cuts.

Mucky Tundra (8h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (10h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (10h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (10h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (13h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
