I've changed my mind - be cool if GB could pick up jenkins in the draft and then pick up suggs as a FA. So we have someone opposite kampman.

That would be some sweet added D there ...

To be honest I really hope we dont go for Raji - we need a playmaker ... we got enough 300+ guys cough harrell cough

If we were fortunate to get Suggs we really don't need to go with an Orakpo with the #9. We could take somebody with the extra 3rd round pick that has all kinds of potential that could follow behind Suggs and learn. My sleeper on the roster is Jeremy Thompson. He's quick and probably the 3-4 is right where he needs to be vs. playing with a hand on the ground.

Jenkins would be a huge pickup for us because that solves who our #1 CB for the next several years will be. Maybe the hardest position to fill other than QB on the whole roster. It's almost like if you have one your gold and if not your pretty much screwed and restricted to zone coverage most all the time.

I wish buckeyepackfan was our GM. With his vision and unmatched football acumen we'd be headed for the promise land.

I wouldn't be displeased with Jenkins for many of the same reasons people have stated. He's been good for years, he's been consistent for years, etc.

Woodson probably has a few more years of playing at a high level. Harris has maybe two years. I've thought for a while now that procuring a high level of talent at CB would be crucial for us down the road. I know right now the feeling is that we need to stock up this defense so it will work with the new system. But if that means passing on a player like Jenkins -- who may very well be the best player at the 9th pick (we'll just have to wait and see) -- then I think you're doing it wrong.

Best player available = cliche. Sure. But it's also how a lot of great franchises become great franchises.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

R. Pickett Dl, AJ Hawk LB, M. Jenkins DB,

!!!THE MORE BUCKEYES THE BETTER!!!!!!

Ted will probably trade down, then trade down again, and trade down one moret time, end up with a 2nd, a 3rd, 3-4ths, and 5-7th rnd picks to continue his rebuilding for the future program.

He will grab 5 O-linemen in the last 4 rnds hoping to come up with a couple of gems.

We will see what he does this year and find out if his past was out of necessity which I think dictated his thinking. We were very thin in '05 and '06 and '05 was a deep draft so it was wise to take advantage of the talent pool.

Last year there was not much left in the later rounds that had much of a shot of making this team and we actually saw him move up once instead of down (Thompson, Rd 4).

It will be interesting to see how he goes with this draft.

Are you kidding me? It's pure gold, even the 314th time.

I'm not so sure I want to take Jenkins at #9. I'd much rather us get a tweener like Aron Maybin or Everette Brown or Brian Orakpo. I would love to have Ray Maualuga too.

Yes, Malcom Jenkins may be the best CB in the nation, but there's a lot of good CBs in the draft this year that's projected in the 2nd round.

Found this a little interesting..

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/38140344.html

The Packers have shown more than a passing interest in all three USC linebackers -- Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews Jr. and Rey Maualuga. Gee, I wonder why: all three can play in the 3-4, especially Cushing and Matthews. Maualuga, it appears, looks more like a Mike in a 4-3.

"They'd fit in perfectly," Carroll said. "We have played 3-4 principals for two of the last four years with Cushing and Clay. They can do all the stuff. The thing about Cush, he can play inside very well. You watch Ray, saw him on ht eedge today, he looked great. There's nothing these guys can't do. Rya's an inside guy but he can rush on the edge when you want him to."

Oh an this kind of made my day... seems we pissed on Billy Bellicheat's week.. Anything that irritates Billy Boy.. I am a fan of.

Speaking of Belichick, do you think things between him and Dom Capers ended, um, kind of awkwardly? When asked about Capers, Belichick, the kind of awkward snapped, "Go ask the Packers about Dom Capers." Uh, OK.

I'd much rather have Brian Cushing than Clay Mathews.

And that thing about Capers, that's hilarious. Apparently Belicheat didn't want him to leave NE haha.
