Sterling Sharpe and Javon Walker were the only legitimate #1 receivers we've had under Favre and Rodgers. Everybody else was a #2 receiver with inflated stats. One of my biggest complaints about our Wolf and Ted Thompson is that they didn't go get that #1 receiver for their elite quarterbacks. At least Sherman moved up in the draft to get Walker.

#1 receivers are guys like Megatron, Dez Bryant, or Larry Fitzgerald. I'm not taking away anything from the accomplishments of guys like Driver, Jorde, or Jennings - they are just not in the same league as the aforementioned.

I'll respectfully disagree. Just because a WR isn't a consensus top 10 player at his position doesn't mean he can't be a "number 1". It is kind of an abstract designation anyway. Every team has a number 1 receiver. It is just a question how dominant they are.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Jordy and Cobb are very good players, but put them on a team with an average quarterback and they wouldn't sniff 600 yards.

Does anyone realistically believe that Jordy isn't done for the year? Curious who thinks it's really possible.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
