With starting left tackle David Bakhtiari sidelined by a knee issue that, according to McCarthy, is likely to sideline him for the second exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the spotlight has shifted onto a trio of younger players whose performances have been uneven. Don Barclay, the No. 6 offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers, struggled against New England last week and continues to underperform in practice. He split his two reps — one win, one loss — in the one-on-one drill against defensive linemen, and he also committed a false start penalty in team reps.
