We should have traded him in the draft, I think he is very over paid and once again I will say it, he is not a dependable player. If you look back and it was crunch time he wasn't on the field for some reason. Last year during the collapse in Seattle, a few years ago he didn't play in the playoffs against the 49ers. A true team leader and superstar wants to be on the field in those situations and he seems to shy away from them.

He should be gone with in the next 3 years hopefully with his cap hits as follows :

2015 12.7 million
2016 13.7 million
2017 15.2 million

He is not worth the 12.7 million we are paying him this year and no way in hell will he be worth the 15.2 million in 2017

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Hopefully he has a solid year so his trade value holds up, but yeah, think he should go on the trading block.

As I was typing this, Michael Cohen's tweet shows up in the feed on the right of CM3 not being there again today. I get the frustrations. However, you could argue the watershed moment for the defense last year was when he shifted inside. He's still a very impactful player that the offense has to account for. I don't like his contract at this point either, but I don't think we've seen the cons outweigh the pros yet.

I have said for a couple years that he is overpaid. However, I don't think we can trade him. He is still our best overall LB. There is absolutely no one waiting in the wings to replace him.

since someone brought up trade what do you think we could expect to get and what would be the least you would take.

Keep in mind whoever trades for him will have to give up picks and take on his salary. The very same salary that you are claiming is the reason he should be traded away in the first place. If we trade him its pretty much a wash salary cap wise. We clear 12.7 million and take a 12.3 million dead money hit plus we have to replace him.
