While the expected emergence of second-year receiver Davante Adams may cut into Nelson’s targets – Nelson was targeted 151 times last season and 127 times in 2013 – it may also free Nelson of some of the constant attention he has received from opposing defenses. A few years ago, Nelson was that player for Greg Jennings. Now, it’s Nelson who’d welcome the assistance.

Nelson still has "it".
But getting some relief of always having the number one defender against him would help the team greatly.

We have the #1 QB. Give him the WR's to blast other teams out of the water! We may just have that now with the WR's we have.

Correct - Quantity and Quality at WR. I think our 5 top WRs will all gain more yards than any of our TEs and maybe have more total catches too - and THAT, more use of WRs will result in an even greater passing offense and an even greater offense in general.

I doubt Nelson has lost anything; His injury/surgery should not be debilitating, and he ain't all that old.
