Last season, Adams caught 38 passes for 446 yards and three TDs in regular-season play and eight passes for 124 yards and another TD in the playoffs. If that doesn’t seem like a lot of production, consider that Cobb (25 receptions, 375 yards, one touchdown in 2011) and Nelson (33 receptions, 366 yards, two TDs in 2008) didn’t have that big of an impact as rookies, and both were second-round picks like Adams.
