When Andrew Quarless said he considers himself in the “top echelon” of tight ends, his coach didn’t cringe. When the Green Bay Packers’ sixth-year tight end said this spring before the team’s annual Tailgate Tour that he puts himself in a Rob Gronkowski-level “bracket,” no, Jerry Fontenot didn’t scold his player.

Sweet. We have not one but TWO Gronk-like TE's. SuperBowl!

Quarless said the same junk before the Patriot game last season. Bravado is great...delusion, which is where Quarless lives, is a whole nother thing.

Here's his quote...it's just too good not to post:

From JSOnline.com) Quarless is looking forward to this matchup.

"Yeah, definitely," Quarless said. "Because me, personally, I feel like I'm the best.... He's a great player. I still have a lot to prove. So that's my thing: for me to get out there and prove myself.

"I have to make plays. That's about it. Gronk is really at the top of his game right now. I'm just trying to get there."

---That quote reminds me of...nevermind.

Here's another delusional quote right after he was re-signed from JSO:

"But I feel like I still have something to prove," Quarless quickly added. "I don't want to put it out there like I'm going to be that guy.... I'm here to work hard and prove that I'm the best in the league. It's really about the opportunity.

Andrew will make a great poster when he's done with football. 🙂

Zero2Cool (17-Jan) : It'd be a wise move.
beast (17-Jan) : I think Jets are just killing time, and picking up information as they wait for their guy to get done with the playoffs.

beast (15-Jan) : Cover 2, keep a CB and Safety over top of both WRs... and Hurts (like Rodgers) is overly careful and doesn't like any risk in his throws.
