DuJuan did have that potential. For whatever reason, and it almost seems like there was some off the field factor, they just didn't want to incorporate him into the offense. Maybe it was just Eddie Lacy, I don't know. Harris has great speed, power, catches the ball, runs ok behind his blockers. He's just a little short.

Anyway, you're the dude who has already anointed Janis as the next Jerry Rice/Randy Moss/Don Hutson. Let's get real, man. Let him earn it first.

Reading this thread is like logging in to Packer chatters or the old Packer forum.... 😱 🙄 😨

Not one packer player or coach gives a rat's backside what someone posted on a message board anymore... and if you can't have 2 groups positive/ negative in an argument/discussion forum it's rather pointless to even have one ???

Every bloody one is "excited" about everyone this time of year... it's grade A Horse manure..fluff whatever. Mike McCarthy last week said and I quote "This isn't real football"... so let's relax and wait until the real deal in August before getting all pissy about this stuff.

On Topic ... Adams is a hell of a WR and right now Jeff Janis can't hold his jock strap. By the end of camp that could be reversed but today that's just what it is. Just my two cents.

Aaron Rodgers: “He just has unique agility I think. He’s able to make those jump cuts which I can only dream about. It’s pretty impressive to watch him in practice. DuJuan Harris, you know, he could be special down the road,”

Have you forgotten that beaming smile as Aaron stood on the field with Michelle Tafoya after a Sunday night victory discussing DuJuan Harris?

Or...how about Jermichael being able to be one of the all time greats?

If Aaron Rodgers is your barometer then you're likely going to be VERY disappointed. He has absolutely NO future as a clairvoyant. Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, and the like have nothing to worry about.

I'm still waiting for Davante to be the "expert" of the offense that JB was per Rodgers.

"The biggest thing that helped Jarrett is that he became an expert of our offense," Rodgers said.

http://host.madison.com/sports/football/professional/packers-jarrett-boykin-ready-to-let-his-play-do-the/article_3fbcb285-44e4-566e-8d81-39fc7de0b9b4.html#ixzz3cllquLKM

Here's another Mike McCarthy for good measure:

"Clearly, Jarrett Boykin has taken the next step," McCarthy said Tuesday, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I just love the way he plays. He's had an excellent camp.

"He's physical, his toughness, he's relentless. I think he's exceptional at the top of his route. You see his strength and balance to separate from a DB."

Yup...Boykin took that "next step" to "former Packer" a few months after saying this and much, much, more.

However, a fan like QC a year ago would've been telling me what an idiot I was for the posts I made on Boykin telling me how Mike McCarthy knew so much more about football than I did. Well, there you go... Mike McCarthy clearly knew more about Boykin than I did. Davante is okay... we'll see.

This comment of yours comes off like coach said (e.g. in March) the player took the next step and then few months later (e.g. July) was no longer a player. And the time frame being that of which the staff did not get additional exhibition games, 16 regular season games and also three post season games to further their evaluation of the player.

That's nearly 20 some games where the staff got to see the player in LIVE action to determine what further to do with the players future. The player elected to sign elsewhere to which he has a shot at more snaps than get shuffled down the WR depth chart of the Packers.

I dunno, I guess your comment just came off severely misleading and flippid to me. A few months means at least 8-12 games and what do we all say matters most? Real bullets in live action matter most so of course the decisions were made post the entire 2014 season.

Just for a time frame reference here.
August 2014: Coach says player took next step
March 2015: Player signed a one-year contract with different team

That's over a half-year and an entire NFL season so it's not like the coach is being loose with his words.

Yes, I trust Aaron Rodgers because he doesn't go out on a limb all the time and on the rare occasions he does, I endorse it. Sure, he's been wrong before, e.g. Ryan Braun, but we won't go there haha.

Additionally, I think Aaron gives endorsements with precision. Adams comes off like a player who lacks confidence and maybe Aaron is publicly singling him out to help him with his confidence?

I like Janis and I hope he does earn Rodgers and the coaches trust because he'll be a huge weapon if he does. This one or the other crap about Adams and Janis is completely stupid though. Both are WRs who can help the team win it make absolutely no difference if one ends up being better than the other or which one it is. They can make Mike Pennell a WR for all I care if it will help the team win.

In reality there's probably not enough that do it to even make up for the #1 picks that miss. In the end one just hopes there are enough players that step up, from anywhere, to give us a shot at the SB while Aaron is still on his game.

Johnson getting injured and then signed away last year was disappointing. I felt he had tremendous potential also. As I have mentioned, I would like to see us 5-6 deep at receiver so we can play 5 wide effectively quite a bit. This could be especially fun if we catch a D with less than 6 DBs and our hurry up O! 🙂

🙂 Aaron Rodgers, to me, is not a good gauge. He's been wrong about Harris, Finley, Myles White, etc. Shoot, his favorite WR was Ruvell Martin. I know that had to do with them being buds on the scout team but still. Ruvell is his fav.

It is said that a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and again. Hoping he's right about DA.

beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
