Coronation? Are you referring to the inaugeration?

I don't think anybody here likes Barack Obama, including myself.

I wish it was an inaugeration. That is what I was hoping to watch.

However, It was a coronation.

Well, if it was a coronation, I don't recognize its legitimacy, nor any claim to the throne. As Founding Father Samuel Adams used to say, "No king but King Jesus!" 😉

I'm excited about him. He actually seems to have some common sense.

The rest of the world seems to be pretty ok with him aswell. Some numbers. Just in the Netherlands, 2.5 million people watched the inagruation, compared to 500 thousand when Bush got into the white house.

Ofcourse I'm not an expert, but maybe it has something to do with him being less arrogant. He still keeps slinging 'the greatest country in the world' around alot, but he is also a realist. I loved it when he said that he'd make some mistakes and isn't perfect.

Oh, and our coronation is actually an inauguration. With the queen/king sitting in front of an orb, sceptre and crown surrounding our constitution while she takes the oath. Just some random information.

Well.....the guy hasn't done anything yet.
So i will wait to judge him on what he does, good or bad, before i say how i feel about him.
I hate liberalism (as all of you probably know already) so if he doesn't make all his judgements on that, i'll be ok with him.
As far as "arrogance", just because a guy smiles alot and seems like he's not arrogant, doesn't mean he will be a good leader.
I'd rather have a guy thats arrogant and gets the job done then one thats not.
Only time will tell if he will be a good prez or a bad one.
I'm HOPING he's great.....but who knows yet?

i like him. he's one guy (i'm from illinois) who has never waivered or waffled on the issues. you may not agree with what he says but he stands by it - unlike the vast majority of politicians.

however, it is clear that prejudice is alive & well in this country. i mean that on both sides of the issue. people are pissed that he's being treated as the "second coming". i say did we expect anything less? he's the first african american to be president - the media HAS to make a big deal about it.

personally, i think he's being set up for failure & i wouldn't want to be in his shoes for all the money in the world. but i wish him the best & pray that he will do what is truly best for our country.
