You got it right on the dot, porky.
With Nick Barnett, Desmond Bishop, A.J. Hawk, Brady Poppinga, and Brandon Chillar, Capers will have a lot to play with when deciding what linebackers he wants for any situation.
It also makes you think about what we currently have on the defensive line. There's obviously Aaron Kampman and Ryan Pickett who have always excelled, and then there's Cullen Jenkins and Johnny Jolly who aren't as consistent as the other two--Jenkins because of injuries and Jolly because he's on the field too much.
Cole is an RFA, and with Justin Harrell continuing rehab, there are options on the line. I believe McCarthy when he says that we already have the personnel, so I wouldn't be surprised if everybody makes the team next year.
It's just a matter of WHERE people will fit. The only real odd men out I see right now is Colin Cole as well as Mike Montgomery, and whoever the hell else we got as stopgaps when players got hurt.
Athleticism is going to be key, and that's why I think we can't count our current special teams players out--especially (as someone said) Jason Hunter.
