I love the fact we have a BYE week before we face Denver...sadly, Denver has their BYE the same week so no advantage for us. Hopefully, Peyton and the team is looking forward to going back to face his former team in Indy the following Sunday. Would've preferred to face them earlier in the season as that seems to always be better catching a new HC early in his program as opposed to later. Works well for us in case of facing Bears right out of the gate in Chicago.
The schedule is broken up nicely with a Week 7 BYE and then a mini bye after Week 13. I wish we had more home games in December but two is good. Really like getting Dallas in the cold.
At Minnesota on 11/22 looks to be the only roadie we have with really cold weather. Should be good for our O all year.
I see no reason IF this team keeps it's stars healthy that we can't make a legit run at an undefeated season. At Denver and home vs. Seattle look to be our two toughest tilts of the season. At Detroit always poses a challenge, also. I hope we don't lay an egg vs. our nemesis in CK7 and the Niners. It's about time we drill them. Happy we get them Week 4 early in Tomsula's program, and the fact that it's week 4 still gives some of their guys to get 4 game suspensions so we don't have to face them. Odd that we have Seattle and SF both in our first four games and I'm thinking we should win them both.
If we're 6-0 at BYE I'm really going to be thinking undefeated season.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
