Well I drove 2 hours yesterday to see the doctor my insurance company says I can use because the one my dr referred wasn't in the network. Well this guy actually scared me, he tells me yes it is cancer and yes we need to get it out asap. Fine I already knew that from talking to the referred doctor so that was ok. Then I ask when can we get it done and he goes on to tell me he wants to have another surgeon involved with it ( must want to make his porche payment for him) and that he has to find a time when both of them have time together so maybe in 2 to 3 weeks. Well i have tickets for the Brewers and Pirates April 18th so I told him if its around then to wait till after that. He looks at me and says what is more important your kidney being removed or a baseball game. I looked at him and said I guess if one day makes that big of a difference I wouldn't be waiting 2 to 3 weeks. So I left there very pissed and upset so of course hell i'm losing a kidney I might as well stop with the wife and get some food and beers lol. Fast forward to this morning I call my insurance company to complain about this doctor, when all of a sudden I find out if it is cancer related I can see the original doctor that I was referred to. So I hurried up and called the original doctor that seems awesome ( she had copies of the film and even though she wasn't going to be able to be my doctor at the time she called me and went thru the pictures and answered all the questions for me.

Well the good news is I go there tomorrow for 1st visit and within a week I should be under the knife so I will be healed in time for the game and also for the start of golf.

Also just for smokey, yes I will still be healthy enough to stream the draft and nascar lol

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Don't you just LOVE insurance companies????
You gain a level of trust with a doctor, and they try to pull the doctor away from you.

I love the part where the "new" doc tried to make a big deal about you waiting until after the game......but NOT making a big deal about trying to make you wait 2 to 3 WEEKS!
Maybe he was afraid it would screw up one of his tee times!

I will be praying for you Hazer!!!!!

Dhazer, with all that must be going on in your life, and you still can think to address me with a line is truly amazing . I did not know that you were ill, if I had Known I would not have ever considered bothering you about streaming programs. I do greatly appreciate it when you are good enough to do that for this forum, yet I wonder that it is on your mind at all !

Did you see the "60 Minutes" show this past Sunday, Duke University may have made a breakthrough in treating the big "C". It is still in the first stages of use on people, but the results are amazing . You may want to ask your DR. about it . I hope that you get your Dr./Ins. Co. sorted out, Insurance Co's are the worst . Eat healthy and take good care of yourself, you may be facing a bigger battle any foresee, so be ready to go 15 rounds if necessary.

If you need someone to talk with, your forum brothers & sisters are always here for you as long as Zero pays his power bill . LOL ::d

Sweet!
I'm glad you don't have to wait for weeks. The wait just makes it more nerve wracking.
Keep us up dated!

Glad to hear the news that surgery went well.. long ago I learned the value of each day. The hard way equally.

Praying for a speedy and full recovery..

And publicly I will not acknowledge always listening to my wife.. I will keep that to myself. Self preservation so to speak.. lol.

That's one heck of an ordeal. Glad you're surgery was successful.

My uncle (by marriage ) has diabetes. Both of his kidneys shut down . My aunt was a match. They have gone about 10 years with 1 kidney each.
