This is puzzling to me. Tramon Williams gets $21 over three years, right? Davon House got $25 million over four years, right? Close to that anyway. All this under Dom Capers defense which I am led to believe by our fans to be garbage.

If I had to pick House or Tramon as whom I am more upset over losing out on, I would have to say House.

The bad... Packers lose both Williams and House....
The good... both most likely get the Packers high comp picks (3rd/4th range) next year....

The new questions
1) Will the Packers be bringing in any outside FA CBs in?
2) What does the draft look like for the CB positions?
3) What are the chances the Packers move Hyde back to CB?
4) What does the draft look like for the CB positions? (in case #3 happens)
5) Can Richardson be a good #3 S? Or would they need more help there if they moved Hyde back?

I'm happy for Tramon getting $7 mil a year. The guy go from being an undrafted free agent to a player that has received two large contracts in his NFL career. The guy is a warrior.

I'm also happy the Packers did not give him that deal.

Edit: The Saints are reportedly shopping/cutting Keenan Lewis. He's only scheduled to make $10 mil combined the next three years. Wouldn't mind bringing him in.

I can't blame him for taking the money, but Tramon will now slip off into mediocrity and likely play no truly meaningful games for the rest of his career. At least he'll have more money, though.
