I don't think the on sides screw up was the reason. I DO think it was kind of the last straw. If he had made a big name for himself in all the chances he previously had, I think he'd still have a job here. But he didn't do anything special to stand out from the other average players.

Agree 100%. Packers are a draft and develop (Or free agent and develop). Not everyone develops. After 2 years, Bostick had not made an impact. He's gone. I wish him the best. But Ted Thompson will find someone else; 2 yrs younger and cheaper.

Brandon Bostick muffed the kickoff in the NFC Championship Game. A fitting end to end this guys Packer stint. He under achieved and I doubt he will find another team to play for . :walk: :joker:

With Finley gone, they expected him to step up this year. He was beginning to emerge in the past, but was slowed by injuries. This was gonna be the year he got his opportunity.

Unfortunately he pissed it away, even before he royally shit himself with the SB on the line.

Plenty of things led to this aside from the botched onside kick assignment. He was primarily brought in to become the next Jermichael Finley and once he became injured that ruined those plans. Add in the development of Richard Rodgers in the first year and the adequate play by Andrew Quarless and you have your ticket to Minnesota.

The botched kick was the dagger in Bostick's career in GB. I don't think he will ever become anything more than a 3rd string tight end on any team...
