What possible illogic would have Flynn kept over Tolzien?

Unrestricted:
Matt Flynn, quarterback - keep
Scott Tolzien, quarterback - keep, unless drafting a QB
John Kuhn, fullback - keep for the right price
Randall Cobb, receiver - keep
Bryan Bulaga, tackle - keep, incentive based
B.J. Raji, defensive tackle - 1 year low end deal
Letroy Guion, defensive tackle - keep (finished strong)
Jamari Lattimore, linebacker - keep
Tramon Williams, cornerback - 2 years (he is getting older)
Jarrett Bush, cornerback - keep, only for ST
Davon House, cornerback - keep if Tramon walks, cut if not

Restricted:
Jarrett Boykin, receiver - cut
Don Barclay, guard/tackle - keep
Sean Richardson, safety - keep

I would like to see us draft a killer CB and ILB early this year. Let Hawk go so we have money to get Cobb taken care of. Tramon is probably worth a 2 year deal, only because House doesn't quite cut it - and gives us time to develop a rookie.

I'm still numb following Sunday, but there is no reason why they can't be even better next year.

To be honest, I would keep all of them at the right price, with one asterisk:

If Guyon has his shit together I am all for giving a guy a second chance. I want to know wtf he was doing though. And it better not be some lame bullshit excuse. I can forgive a guy's mistakes if he admits them and gets help.

I am also ok with cutting Flynn. I think by now Tolzien can fill that role and it's time to take another late round flyer on a developmental project.

For all the talk of Hawk and Jones...yes, you're right, we should start cutting starters when we have no better replacements. That's always worked so well for the Bears, how could we POSSIBLY go wrong there.

How about we see who we get in the draft/free agency and see who the best LB on the roster are first?

Unrestricted:
Matt Flynn, quarterback
Scott Tolzien, quarterback
-Keep one between these two. Draft another QB in the later rounds to compete with the one that is kept. There is no reason we should have two below average QBs taking up a roster spot.

John Kuhn, fullback
-He's going to come cheap, so why not? Also, play calling duties are in someone else's hands so we won't have to see him get the ball handed to him on a pull play at the 1 yard line anymore. He's as good as they come in the blocking department.

Randall Cobb, receiver
-No brainer, must keep and sign long-term. He adds so much to this Packers offense and there is no one on the roster that can do what he does.

Bryan Bulaga, tackle
-Keep your best player protected. He is part of that puzzle. Bring him back and if you don't, expect to see another high draft pick used for the offensive line.

B.J. Raji, defensive tackle
-Need the depth here and he should be signed by the Packers at an even cheaper rate than last year.

Letroy Guion, defensive tackle
-Depends on what happens in court. He proved he is worth a new deal...on the field. No room for his nonsense off the field.

Jamari Lattimore, linebacker
-Expendable. It really is time for the Packers to take a deep, deep look at the entire ILB group and cut away (aside from Barrington).

Tramon Williams, cornerback
Davon House, cornerback
-Packers aren't going to be able to re-sign everyone. Pick one. At this point, if Tramon was willing to come back with a little discount I would take him over House due to dependability. House thinks he is a starter but in my opinion, there isn't much evidence pointing to that. He is injury prone to the max.

Jarrett Bush, cornerback
-Bush is a special teams ace and if we can continue to get him at a lower price, it would be wise to keep him on a unit that needs the leadership.

Restricted:
Jarrett Boykin, receiver
-Expendable. I think 2 years ago was a fluke. Let one of the younger guys come in and compete for the 4th and 5th spots.

Don Barclay, guard/tackle
-Offensive line depth is nice to have. Barclay is a necessity.

Sean Richardson, safety
-Fits well with the aggressive defense. Assuming he is coming at a cheap price, he should be re-signed.

From what I can see right now, we are looking at about 23million in cap space. If we cut both Hawk and Jones we will have about 30million.
