You guys keep saying he's too expensive.

He's no longer the highest paid TE in football. Winslow is.

Kansas City has already given him his signing bonus on his last extension.

All we need to give him are a jersey and his base salary, which wouldn't even be that much.

This is a TRADE; not a free agent signing.

It's ONE third rounder. We have two. Here's a list of guys we've gotten in the third round.

- Abdul Hodge -- Promising prospect who is no longer with the team because of his weak knees.
- Jason Spitz -- In danger of losing job to Josh Sitton.
- James Jones -- Drafted because of his hands and ability to be physical. Lost us a couple games because of dropped passes and can't stay healthy.
- Aaron Rouse -- Drafted for his hard-hitting, ended up being a ballhawk. After two years, still can't take a proper angle despite playing linebacker in college.
- Jermichael Finley -- Immature idiot with tons of upside. Extremely athletic.

Not one of those guys is a standout.

Donald Lee is a good Tight End that Aaron Rodgers like to throw too. He has reliable hands. I think we are fine with Lee and Finley.

When you look at the stats, Lee has had about as much yards receiving and receptions as he did his first year here. When he was a back-up to Franks.

He had about half the yardage and receptions as last year, when he became the starter.

That's one reason for not getting Gonzalez, I mean, I'd like to have a star TE like he is and if we would just have to offer a 3rd, I wouldn't mind that much, but Aaron seems to like his WRs more than his TEs. At least, last season he did.

Like I said last time, I think this is a very unlikely trade at this moment.

I asume the Chiefs new GM will stick with Thigpen for a while, he seems to have alot of potential. Gonzalez is his favorite target and a great veteran to build a team around. Ted would still have to give up a 2nd if the price on him has stayed the same and Gonzalez himself would still want to be traded, while he has a reason to wait till next year with some rebuilding and panning out of the 3 or 4 1st and 2nd round rookies in KC from last year.
