Anyone else looking forward to the college football championship game? I'm sure Buckeye is.

I also picked the semi-finals correctly, and I disagree with a lot of the article, including the conclusion.

I sure don't think Urban Meyer is anything special as an on-field gameday coach. He is a damn good recruiter, probably by hook or by crook. Mariota probably is the best player, but Ohio State has better overall talent. Losing early in the season to Virginia Tech reflects Meyer's coaching. Winning out including clobbering the Badgers reflects a great defense and very decent offense coming together.

Marriota looked pretty average compared to the young, 3rd string Cardale Jones.
I'm happy the Big Ten won.

I got the same impression with Mariota that I get with Kaepernick: they didn't let him run enough. If I was a coach with a weapon like that, I'd use it to the max.

As for the Buckeyes, I thought their D would rule the day. They are gonna be an awesome team next season. Do you suppose THIS accompanied by the Badgers knocking off Auburn and Michigan State beating Baylor will put and end to the crap on ESPN and elsewhere about the Big Ten being weak? They also have some crow to eat about their overhyped damn SEC in light of those games and TCU annihilating Mississippi.

ESPN is partnered with the SEC Network, so I doubt they'll stop hyping the SEC anytime soon.

The Big Ten could be even better next year. The Buckeyes will probably be the favorites to win the national title. Penn State and Minnesota will take a few steps forward. From a draft standpoint, Michigan State’s Conner Cook might be the best QB in college football next season.

Michigan and Wisconsin will be interesting. You know Harbaugh is going to turn Michigan around and Wisconsin's recruiting class looks great. I think we may have to wait until 2016 until those two achieve their full potential.

There is no way ESPN or any media organization can deny the Big Ten's worth. I think it’s going to finish the decade strong.
