Mark Belling, the Milwaukee talk show guy, made a great analogy this morning as he substituted for Rush Limbaugh.

He compared Obama to Jay Cutler. Cutler got coaches fired in Denver and Chicago, yet he remains - on the roster at least, even though his ability to affect things is pretty much gone.

Obama's poor policies and incompetence has caused a a bunch of Democrats to get fired by the voters - Senate, governors, etc. all over the country, yet he remains also - thankfully defanged from doing any further evil, though.

Cutler is a Bear. Ergo, he's a dumbshit.

Cutler is a quarterback. Ergo, he's an asshole.

Cutler makes lots of dumb mistakes. Ergo he's a dumbshit asshole.

But none of those things puts him in BO's league. Even if you accept that liberal Democrats, being Democrats, like Bears people, being Bears people, deserve to get fired.

The worst that can be said of Cutler is that he wasted a lot of '' and Bear fans' money.

That's orders of magnitude different from the worst that can be said about BO.

Well, in a way, I agree with you, although IMO, your triple "ergo" outweighs your conclusion.

You know what I often say about the multiplied benefit of spending money, and that can at times even be true in the NFL. However, I would disagree that the worst Cutler did to Bear fans was waste their money. The worst was being a serial loser of games, at times almost singlehandedly - dragging down the Bears from marginally decent to the pits. That can be compared to Obama's horrendous agenda to change America from the Greatness we have to the international mediocrity he craves.
