Some fans are bitching and moaning. We won by 17 on the road and covered the spread. We left a bunch of points on the field. Our Defense played great again. Hopefully they can step up next week when it really matters.

My only concerns from this game (not a new problem):

Mike McCarthy playcalling in the red zone and short yardage situations.
Still giving up big plays on 3rd and long.

Execution trumps scheme. Off memory on the 4 goal line plays they ran a trap with Kuhn, tried Lacy up the gut, tried 5 wide (again, correct me if I'm wrong). They threw the kitchen sink at Tampa to no avail. That's not a play calling issue.

Naming Burnett a playoff captain worked wonders for him this game. He played a great game.

Keep in mind the opponents' offenses are in fact offensive.

That said, the Packers at least held serve, or in nerdmann's terms, they didn't "shit" themselves.

Mad props to Lacy and Rodgers for gutting it out despite health issues. Love to see that.

Call me weird but I agree Burnett had a great game and I think that was a very bad thing.

Burnett played LB against Tampa it seemed he had no responsability against the passing game. That's logical if you think you are facing a zombie at QB.

But the fact that his best game comes when he is not playing his real position is a red flag to me. I want a safety back there that will intercept any misstimed pass, that will help any blundered coverage and that will make any QB afraid of throwing to the middle. So far we don't have such a player.

Fact is, they won. It wasn't pretty, but they WON. In the end, that is all that matters when you are in the position to win your division.
Hopefully AR will be able to make the plays we are used to seeing him make, and they can beat the cheap shot Lions and get a 1st round bye, giving them an extra week to recooperate.
