Why hope for anything? It's over...you just can't accept it yet.

Trainwreck coming if we have to go to Seattle...absolutely. Ran into a Broncos fan friend of mine...talked to me about Buffalo...said Buffalo was tough but that loss was really bad for Green Bay as they would now have to go to Seattle and then said, "I don't think they can win there". I told him I couldn't agree more.

The #1 seed is a necessity for this team to even begin to compete for a championship if Seattle is going to get it instead... they ceded that in losing to Buffalo, as you know. If you can't beat the Hawks you aren't a contender. Reminds me of the Packers back when Dallas was in the way. We never had a chance in Dallas...we lost every single time there under Favre when something was riding. We all knew as fans we needed to be at home to beat the Cowboys...we finally got them at home and ran for over 200 and put 45 on them if memory serves. This is no different. Not one bit. We ain't winning at Seattle...you know it...I know it. HFA is the only hope we had of besting them. Ain't nothing changed with that.

The Pack also upset San Fran in the divisional round in the mid '90s. How did the 9-7 Cards make the Super Bowl? Injuries, turnovers, upsets, and shit all happen, that's how. That's why I watch, cheer, and hope. I guess that's also what makes me a sophomoric fan.

I hope you continue to tout your cynicism, opinions shared with a random bar customer, and clarivoyance (at least when the Packers lose. If the Packers win or a Ted Thompson draft pick pans out you and your flawless visions are curiously absent from here). Shouting louder and more critically makes you a superior fan! Congrats, I'll make you a certificate.

Yes, we beat SF...we also beat them many times after that. Those Niners were a good matchup for us. Dallas wasn't. Seattle is not a good matchup for us and you know that.

This charge of disappearing when we win or times are good is a misnomer. I left for clear reasons...I guess you missed that post of mine. Again, it fits your narrative better when you force your desired reality into real reality. It doesn't fit but that's okay.

Superior fan? Nope...I'm probably a pretty poor one but I follow closely and know a few things. I only wish I could be more like you... it's more fun that way.
