I was able to watch Jarrett Boykin during the 2013 training camp and he stuck out big time. Great hands and looked like good routes being run. Then during the season he did very well and I was thinking (maybe you as well?) the Packers found a gem and solid 3rd WR who could push the 2 WR. Then the 2014 season started and the only place I see Boykin is on the backside of a milk carton.

DuJuan Harris is a RB, not a returner for punts or kicks. He's a small compact RB who has speed and isn't afraid to deliver a blow, just ask Ricardo Silva about that. If Harris is going to be on returns, it has to be as a blocker, not a returner.

What is this leading to? Jeff Janis time. It is time to sit Jarrett Boykin (yea yeah he caused two fumbles, but it's not enough) and activate Jeff Janis. Put Jeff Janis on kick returns and use his freakish size and speed to stretch a defense.

Jarrett Boykin sit down.
DuJuan Harris block on kick returns.
Jeff Janis step up.

In the words of another awesome "Kevin". It. Is. Time!

Yeah Boykin just completely regressed this year. He looked like a legit #3/4 WR last year and now doesn't even look like he belongs on a practice squad. Janis may not be completely ready for the full compliment of wr positions in the offense but I don't see why he couldn't run those little crossing routes or some wr screens.

1: They already have enough guys active at Janis's position.

2: Dude is a rookie. Do you want him returning kicks in the playoffs? Remember Jeremy Ross?

This would be the perfect game to give Janis a shot.
I'll give my cousin Mike a call.
Of course he has nothing to dowith the Packers but he likes Janis as well.

I can only assume that Boykin gets the nod over Janis at this point due to punt/kick coverage+ST experience in general
Under Construction!

One is on the roster, and the other isn't ready for football, as I assume is the case with Janis or he'd have been utilized more by this point.

I don't understand either why the hell the Packers have not made more use of this guy. It seems like the Packers at times use a damn seniority system - Activating Flynn over Tolzien, Using Elliot so little, not using Harris at least as much as Starks at RB, etc. - these things seem to defy all logic.

I know they are bringing him along slow but turtle slow is not helping him it is holding him back from learning how to play in the big leagues!
