seems unlikely that we, will get him think he stays with the rams although they have quite the list of candidates,looks like M.M. will have to keep looking hope he is waiting for Moss to decide or the guy from eagles.

For reports.. MM and Haslett are friends but don't seem to have a good working relationship.. per news reports.

My source has heard Haslett will be hired, announcement will be made on monday.

He was right about the defensive firings, so has some credibility. However the original source is different on this one, we will have to wait & see if this pans out as well.

^ That's really contradictory to what a certain poster who posts mainly rumours has been saying over at another Packer forum that shall remain nameless... (to be honest, his "rumours" seem a lot more out there, your stuff isn't totally out of left field).

There was a report late tonight that said MM has interviews with as many as three more coaches for the DC position...

If true, I hope Haslett employs a cover 1 bump-and-run scheme. MM has called him a good coach, he seems fiery, and his players have liked playing for him. Hasn't always had success follow him, and while that is worrying it shouldn't be the make all and break all...

I'd prefer Haslett over Nolan, but he'd still be a pretty meh hire imo.

Hopefully McCarthy won't rush out and hire Haslett before the NFC Championship game on Sunday. I'm still holding out hope we can snag an interview with McDermott even if it takes until after the Super Bowl.

This shouldn't be a rush hire because there is still going to be a decent talent pool of assistants for McCarthy to pull from if he's patient instead of going with a retread like a Haslett.

I'm kind of mad that we didn't sign Williams...it seemed like he was waiting on us but we never gave him a contract, he just went back to New Orleans who really wanted him.

Now we are left with two candidates that one has never been a DC, and one who had an awful defense in St. Louis.
