I had said something about peaking too soon and it was blown out of context. However, that being said, this is something I had in mind.

I would love for the Packers to be the 6th team in the Super Bowl era, no doubt.

Do you think a loss to the Buffalo Bills would force the team to a higher level of dominance MORE than a win? I keep thinking about that 2011 season where they went 15 - 1 and it seemed like they felt they could roll their helmets and get the win and got smacked around by the Giants, at home, ... again.

No.

There will be a team with a really good record that doesn't make the playoffs. I don't want it to be us.

No for a couple of reasons.

You brought up the 2011 season. The packers lost to the chiefs week 15. The same week the packers play the bills this year. It didn't seem to help them in 2011.

Seattle looks like it is going to run the table and a packers loss to the bills means that the road to the superbowl would go through Seattle. That's scary.

The packers have something special going on at home this year. So wrap up that 1 seed!

Lastly, this is more of a selfish reason but I will be attending the game this weekend and I don't want to drive 7 hours to buffalo to watch the packers lose!

I don't think we need a loss to put some focus into the team.. if this team is truly filled with the leadership that MM claims.. a game like last night should serve just the same as a loss.

We had that game basically put away at halftime.. and they took the foot off the gas so to speak. And it almost came back to bite them.. I think a moment that stood out to me last night was Jordy grabbing Boykins after one of the onside attempts.. like ... get down with the ball and stay down. Subtle action, but just the same, a sign that this team has that leadership.

I expect the Packers to put a show on this coming week.. I think that "kick in the ass" came in the second half last night. Or at least it should have. Can't rest on the Patriot win.. teams bring it every week.

If they were undefeated or had a lead on the division and conference where they could become complacent I might say, yeah a loss could be good for them. But we are still in a battle for the division and really the playoffs. One loss moves us from currently #2 seed, to 6th. Two losses and we are out.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Last night was all the wake up call they needed.
Win out , and they win the division and a bye.
They lost games already this season, so they know how to lose.

A loss wouldn't bother me, if they play well.

But if they lose, they'll likely have shat themselves.

None of those statistics mean anything to me. When we won it all in '10 we had a long run of successive victories, and I believe we had 11 in a row in '11, did we not? At any rate, fuck that shit. Pedal to the metal, bitches.

The NFC is so tight at the top that one really good team is going to miss the playoffs. If we lose to Buffalo, we could very well be that team.
